                                               Foster

                            Dawson      McAuley      Hegazi

               Phillips           Krychowiak      Yacob      Livermore   Brunt

                                                Rondon    Rodriguez

Subs: Palmer, Nyom, Gibbs, Evans, McClean, Burke, Chadli

I'm assuming Field is injured, if not then Field in for Livermore and Livermore to the bench instead of Gibbs.

If the players genuinely couldn't give a flying **** we'd be losing 4 or 5 nil every week. Apart from one or two games, it's been a story of failure to protect leads, failure to convert half chances and an ageing squad that due to the absence of Morrison and Chadli, has been without 2 of it's most creative players.

It's 3 wins all season, but I agree they certainly stopped playing for Pulis and against Leicester and Burnley some of them looked like they's given up playing for Pardew.

He was in charge of Villa v Wolves. According to Soccerbase he hasn't sent any Wolves players off.

Surely that's just a 4-4-1-1  or really a 4-4-2 or even 4-2-3-1?

Brunt doesn't work as a central midfielder, he has been played there too often this season and been really ineffective. Swap him to LB or LM and bring Krychowiak or Yacob into CM.

Yes it's a typo. His formation has 12 players in it but his line up has 11.

Would be happy to never see Gibbs in an Albion shirt again, he wasn't that good when he was actually trying! Brunt to LB and Yacob in with Field, who must start.
Nyom at RB with Dawson and Hegazi in the centre.
Would like to see Leko and Harper play a part also. I know they are not world beaters but they only have to be better than the rubbish keeping them out.

Sorry, I was going to post something then got called away!

I was going to say that I remember we won our first two games of the season and some of us were ever so slightly thinking that this year we are really going to click and give Everton a run for their money - how wrong were we.

Having said all that, I genuinely think that we will win on Saturday!

                 Foster

Nyom  Dawson  Hegazi  Brunt

        Yacob   Krychowiak

Leko                             Burke

        Rodriguez
                   Rondon

Not Fair on Burke, but I'd play him anywhere before some of the "others".
Field being injured really doesn't help !

Subs, a real struggle here
Myhill, McAuley, Kanu, Harper, Livermore, mcLean (last 2 under sufference)

I wouldn't be playing Hegazi , too many goals come from his mistakes as tidy as he is on the ball plus he was poor last week.
Foster
Nyom
Gmac
Evans
Brunt

Yacob
Field

Burke
JR
Phillips

Rondon

Rondon / JR to rotate

They were all poor last week Dexy, no exceptions.

I would be starting Burke every game. He will only improve with game time and could be one of our key players next season. I know many disagree but there is something about this lad I like. If he could control the ball with his speed he is going to cause real problems.

Agreed , although Rondon was better than most.
I was appalled at Hegazi's defending for Wood's goal though , too late now but I think both he and Gibbs have caused us a lot of defensive errors this season purely through bad positional play.

I've found Burke very frustrating every time he's played but as you say he should/will improve with more game time. His pace is beyond question but he doesn't seem to have much of a football brain but I fully accept that we haven't seen a huge amount of him.
Against Leicester he started well but after beating his man and putting in a great cross for Rondon to score he stopped doing what had worked and kept coming inside leaving us no one out wide, the amount of times both Krychowiak and Brunt were looking to play him in out wide and he was just stood in the middle offering nothing.

I think he will do well in the Championship and certainly was good for Forest in that division and it could be the boost he needs.
