Just wondering, how did Izzy Brown get along while his loan side were being thumped by Southampton?

2nd hand report off my old man he was stuck out on the left wing and was anonymous. To be fair the lad is a striker.

Cheers for that, many thanks.

cant believe west ham played their youth team tonight in Europe just so they can be fit come Sunday, IF the players aren't fit to play twice a week at the start of the season then what are they going to be like in winter when the games come thick and fast plus if a player isn't fit enough to play on a Thursday and a Sunday then it is quite scary, I know they have to travel tonight to a different country but its not like they travel on normal airplanes like us, they would be pampered when flying abroad.

It puts me off football stuff like tonight, all fans in the bottom 12 always go on about aiming to progress which would be top 8 and European qualification, obviously they have gone through the back door and got in through fair play league but when you actually get there at least have a go if not what is the actual point of teams outside the top 6 existing. It's the best we can hope for

I understand the need to be careful with players having barely had a break but the team he put out tonight was a joke and a real kick in the teeth for the supporters.

I didn't watch, and don't know the team, but in some small way I can see why he'd play a youth team, bearing in mind that they've have 3(?)players sent off and lost Enner Valencia to injury while playing in Europe, bearing in mind the team they were playing and how close it was to the start of the season.

I would be fuming, I would rather scrape a 1-0 win tonight and lose 5-0 in a league game if it meant progressing in Europe. Progressing in Europe is success, aiming to stay up and be happy with mid table every year is just existing

Europe isn't really worth anything to the club, it is to the fans but not the club. What do they get out of pouring time and energy into Europe? apart from debt.

I would agree with you, if being in Europe wasn't so utterly pointless in the long term.

Just a shame it's turned into a Liverpool one now! Going to be funny again next year when they think it's their year again after a decent game tonight only for them to be about 9th again in January.

Most overrated stand in English football has had its one decent atmosphere every 10 years tonight so we won't hear the last of that

Klopp is a real idiot
Look how he celebrated the lucky draw against us.

Maybe Liverpool fans should remember their part in the time England couldn't be in Europe., but then agai

what a joke that the final is at a stadium with a 36.000 capacity with both finalists getting 9000 tickets each.

I heard the final was in Milan. As for the ticket allocation, well, that doesn't normally put Liverpool fans off going.

It's probably Pulis' fault mate.  ;)

Scandalous though really.

Seriously, how can they hold a final at a stadium with a 36,000 capacity? Beggars belief.

The final is on Weds 18th May I think, after we play probably their reserves on the Sunday before! This will probably be the case because dont the Europa League winners qualify for the Chumpions League next season & its the best chance the bin dippers will get for a while!
Maybe a chance for us to get to 42 points? 8)

I wonder how many Scousers will turn up without tickets this time. They could always blame the airlines for flying them there.

I'd be there if it were the Albion, with or without tickets.

Yeah bit of a daft thing to say just to have a pop at hillsborough when any team in the country would take thousands whether they had a ticket or not
