I watched Juve-Spurs, thought Tottenham was very impressive and showed excellent composure down 0-2 on the road after 10 minutes. They were the better team.

Not shocked City handled Basel.

Spurs just being Spurs.

Only Liverpool and City stand any chance of progressing to the semis.

Pep not quite up to achieving what Pardew managed ;)

Boom. Fantastic win for the reds!  ;D

Will take some performance from City in the 2nd leg to put a dent in that.

Once again Liverpool fans demonstrate what a bunch of classless hooligans they are. Can anyone doubt that a player sitting on a coach being bombarded with missiles and having its windows broken on the way to the ground won’t have been affected?

They should be kicked out of the competition.

An interesting point Chipper, and one that I had not thought of last night.

However, it is only half time, and we all know that City didn't turn up last night. When they do next week it will be very different........I still think that they will go through

No excuses for their behaviour but happens in South America, Greece, Turkey and Russia regularly.

Kompany and Gundogan said it didn't bother them.

A hefty fine is certainly heading their way though.

As an aside I know a few Everton lads were going up purely to cause trouble, what involvement if any they had I don't know.

What makes me laugh is that football media painting the scenes as a few bad eggs spoiling it for everybody when there is clearly hundreds if not a few thousand outside the bus contributing to the ugly scenes. Yet we must remember that Liverpool have the most passionate fans. Ridiculous

Right with you. The way their fans are depicted as loveable, knowledgable, super supporters is laughable. This was not a few rogue hooligans with a bit of jolly banter, this was a concerted, orchestrated attack on the opposition team.

And just because it happens elsewhere? So what?

My question is this, what do you suppose the press reaction would be had Millwall fans behaved like this, or Leeds? There would be howls of anguish and a public enquiry. But those Scousers eh? Cheeky rascals just having a bit of a laugh.

I'm hoping city get an early couple of goals and turn this into a cracker. Then go onto to knock out the Scousers because i don't really like them at all.
