Still be Bartley for me. Lost his man for the goal today again.

Wasn't it Bartley who had the clash of heads with their guy who headed it down? Had to go off and came back on with a head bandage.

I am a bit confused as to what is going on here.  I have not heard he has a specific injury, and by now I would have hoped he would at least have made the bench.  Is he going abroad prior to the month end?  Hope not, we could really do with him in the team come Friday.

The official reason was a thigh strain. As for going abroad, I find it hard to think of any club that would be impressed by his skill set. There does, however, seem to be a lingering stink about this episode.

Given DM’s stated ethos, I can imagine he doesn’t get considered until he knocks on the door and asks “to be a part of the team again please”
Darren is in a strong position here and should be making a statement to everyone at the club that no individual will be prioritised over the group, much as I think that CD would be on the team sheet on ability unless he is showing commitment he should not play

I'm not calling you a liar by any means but surely that can't be true. It's something you'd expect from a twelve year old schoolboy not a seasoned professional footballer.

Seems odd to me if true he is basically refusing to play for the club and would be fined accordingly

I do find it hard to believe.

I don't know why he is not fitting the team right now, but we need him and he needs the shop window if he still wants out. Makes no sense.

I suspect Celtic was an option for him until they got knocked out of Europe in the week.  Can see him having to eat humble pie and get his head down.

He doesn't appear overly impressed with life but this reported self imposed Albion badge ban obviously doesn't extend to the new home kit.

Unless this picture's been photo shopped of course, I do love a good conspiracy theory me  ;D  ;) .

He's our best defender and we need him in the team. I'll be surprised if he's not in the squad at least at Middlesbrough. Given that it's yet another week of training for him if he's not in the 18 I wouldn't be surprised if he never is again.

I think you might find this was back in the Saido days when he tried rolling his shorts up to hide the badge on his leg!

Just going off what I was told by someone who is close with people that work at the training ground.

Myself I think we’d have heard something more if that was the case by now

42 games to go, DM said that they are taking their time getting Dawson and Chadli back into the squad so don't rush them in and lose them to injuries. Sensible approach.

Maybe its a case of 'never change a winning team'.
Can't see him being out for long. He's our most consistent defender and doesn't lose many heading duels. Our defence needs tightening up.

An on form dawson is what is required. Forget Chadli he is just a weight which has to be carried.

He either needs to be back in or shipped out and a seasoned experienced CB brought in.We cannot carry on with such a poor defense on set pieces. Pulis will explore this and other sides.
