A win on Monday night will see us jump to 7th. Surely that's enough incentive for TP to attack.

Should really be unchanged (from Vile).

I think he might go:

Myhill

Dawson
McAuley
Evans
Brunt

Gardner
Fletcher
Yacob
Morrison

Berahino
Rondon

The dreaded 4-4-2.  :-X

It's where we could be if we lose that matters most unfortunately.

Yes I can see it or worse still Lambert in the 10 role behind Rondon. Getting two strikers on the pitch is not an attacking formation if they are  starved of quality ball in the final third of the field.

Realistically TP is not going to go gung-ho against Everton who are more than capable of burying us by half time if they are allowed to play. I see this being a cagey affair with us conceding possession but keeping Everton at arms length while making sure there is no space behind the back four for the likes of Lukaku to exploit.

If we are to win it will be because Everton over play at the back and make a mistake that gifts us a goal or we nick something at a set piece.

This will only be an exciting game if Everton score first which will force out of our shell

Is that all we can hope for, to capitalise on an unforced error. We offer so little in attack I suupose it is.

The error might be forced, we might offer plenty going forward under a different coach even with the same players it is just that this coach will set up to frustrate a good footballing team and that might be the best route by which to achieve a result.

Not bad if we can get 1 point against everton, I don't mind TP adopt similar tactics with the game against Southampton .

I expect us to go for this one.

I believe Pulis wanted to play more attacking football this season, this showed with the way we set up against city. The resulting performance meant pulis went back to tried and tested methods, the circus during the transfer window meant this rigid formation remained.

However, we have past the window, have a fit and full squad and adopted a more attacking role vs Villa. I expect us to go for this, if we don't I fear we may be in for a long season!

We have to try to score sometime.
We have the lowest scored goals in the Prem.
Our mid field are impotent. They just sit at the back and are afraid to pass the ball in case they miss the intended player.
The strikers' seem afraid to enter the box..It is as if a force field prevents them going in.
25 yard plus shots look great, but they are the bread and butter of a decent keeper.
Keep the ball along the ground to our outfield players.
Keep and sweep it was called...Gawd knows what they call it now.

Massive opportunity tomorrow. If we can win can people honestly say we've had a bad start to the season? 2 away wins at local rivals, ok one poor cup run but we'll be just shy of leicester and palace, and that is not bad at all. Of course, we'll find a way of messing it up

A win tomorrow would be HUGE for us. Can't see it really but would just LOVE that.

We haven't been exciting at all but if you look at who we have played we are looking good right now.

Agree with this. I wonder if we will see the players (and coach) "express themselves"?

I expect a repeat of Watford away.
