Good news IMO. Let's hope he accepts it.

Yeah. I like the look of him. Wouldn't be averse to seeing him partner Hegazi against West Ham.

Wouldn’t be adverse to consider that partnership 6 days earlier than that!

Really hope he signs. Looks a more than good player in the making. Very composed. Come on Dara, you know it makes sense.

Yeah, hopefully we overstretch like Portsmouth,Leeds and Sunderland 🙄

I really don’t understand why our fans are so bloody negative.
We are without doubt still one of the best run football clubs, but it’s constant doom and gloom .

Because people don't tend to realise this is real life (not champ manager) and also football clubs are business nowadays and are run as such. I'm sure if these people owned their own busuness they'd just chuck thousands at things without regard ;)

and what's the going rate for a youth player with 20 minutes of first team experience?

Agreed a new 3.5 year deal according to Joe Masi. Happy with that because he looks a good fit for our system, comfortable on the ball and pretty quick.

Should be celebrating new contract with starting berth against the Hammers, now get Ferguson signed up.

He put in a very mature performance today for one so young and inexperienced.

We need to manage his development properly and Slaven is the man to do that imo

I was worried with him starting st full back against a better.opposition than the Charlton under 23s but he was somid and looked comfortable going forward.

O Albion we love you

Looks calm and composed and for me i'd start him ahead of Hegazi for the Cardiff game.

Think we've been much smarter with O'Shea than we were with Ferguson in that we've wet his appetite/got him believing he can compete for 1st team football with sub/backup appearances, but also waited until he'd committed his future before putting him in the limelight. If intentional then it's a smart move by the management and how we should approach playing young players going forward.

Spot on, I suspect this was intentional and well handled by the club. Hopefully lessons have finally been learned after the Ferguson situation.

Given Slaven a bit of headache with regards to his performance, not a too far behind first team regulars.
