Yes, thanks I saw.

I am in the first tier, but I was speculating how many other fans may have random allocations of over 1900 pointswhen the majority I know range from 1600 to 1755.

Bit concerned by the loyalty points.
Someone I know who goes to every game for last 5 years bar one or two has 1755 points.

But someone who missed nearly all of last season has 1900?

Why I do had the feeling that the Blues tickets are going to be chaos??

A fan phoned the club about it, I saw on social media. It works over a three year period and the club have taken off points that are outside of that period. Its happened to all fans that it applies to.

This is wrong., sorry Atomic.

It was 500 points for a season ticket, 10 points per home cup game, and 5 points per away game for the previous 3 seasons. I was around 1800 for the 2019-22 seasons.
It would have been moving to 2020-2023 seasons but the points would still be true.

It looks like they have totally reset the values of tickets bought

Either way, just communicate with the fans beforehand.

Just checked and same for me/our group aswell.

Not seen anything announced as you say. Wonder if someone pressed a wrong button somewhere in the background  :-X
oh don't say that! There will be chaos when they release the blues tickets

West Bromwich Albion FC / Loyalty points
« on: September 17, 2023, 01:34:00 PM »
A number of us noticed yesterday that Albion have reset the loyalty points system that is used to allocate tickets when there are few seats available (e.g. Blues).
I went from roughly 1800 points down to 210.

Does anyone know how this has been worked out or has anyone seen an announcement from the club?

I believe that the old system was cumulative over the last three years for home season tickets (500 PTS), home tickets in cups (10 points) and away games (5 points).

There were about 8 of us in the pub and the loyalty points seemed fair in terms of who goes to the most away games etc.

Good post.

We keep renewing deals because we haven't scouted alternatives.

Pieters' deal baffles me. Likewise Chalobah. Easy, free deals. No imagination or creativity. At least Maja and Sarmiento appear to be a different direction and out of the box, hence the euphoria in signing them.

Don't know how good the source is, but I am told TGH had a bust up with CC, hence the move.

Yeah I’m the same, I do rate TGH however I think he needs a loan to play consistent football probably won’t get that here with us clearing the wage bill. Id rather TGH go then Molumby, I have a strange feel will also leave sadly.

EDIT: I have just heard it’s a loan. I think that’s perfect if it’s true.

Makes sense given that we have Mowatt and Chalobah as back up to Okay and Moloumby.
I was hoping Chalobah would go instead but I suppose we have to clear the wages somehow.

Jamal Jimoh has confirmed on Instagram he's off (to AV i guess)

"This is not a message I thought I’d be writing so soon, to a club that has done so much for me and my family.

After 10 years, It is with a heavy heart that i have made the very difficult decision to leave my boyhood club. This was not an easy decision for me to take, however it's one that i felt was necessary.

I would like to thank everybody at West Brom, my team mates for supporting me week in week out on the pitch & my coaches for pushing me year after year to improve.

I’m forever grateful.

Jamal Jimoh 💙🤍"

Money talks.

We cannot turn down a decent bid for anyone.
Young teenagers cannot turn down the wages the money bags seals are offering

The seals are buying youth players from all over the country and going down the Chelsea model of making money through then loaning them out.

And so it begins....

We have sold a very promising youth player to Villa for £1m.

Many more to follow I guess.

Agree, he did make a couple of sloppy passes straight to their players though but he generally won it back.
We don't need both him and Yokuslu starting though and I'd rather see TGH in the Molumby role as it's more his natural game than Chalobah's.

Totally agree with this.
I want to see TGH starting.

In what I have seen so far, I think NC is a poor signing. Still giving him a chance, but think it will be another squad player signing that we cannot wait to leave in 18 months time.

We didn't press because we couldn't. Livermore in the middle did okay but it's just too slow.
Too many players look heavy build.

I watched Leeds last night and they worked so hard, but they looked like athletes. We didn't select players yesterday to press.

Moloumby & TGH in the middle together do have that energy but Ztgh Needs to be more aware around him and that will come.

What CC did do was rotate players to find the most effective way forward.
He tried JW and GD on opposite wings to allow them to cut in and shoot as opposed to cross to noone. Didn't really work.
Phillips went to cf and held the ball up better than KG.
KG did less in 80 than BTA in 10 minutes.
O'Shea and Pieters is not a good combination.

Moving forward I would suggest:

Okay at CB with Kelly. Pieters LB and O'Shea RB (In the absence of anyone else).
Moloumby, TGH and Swift middle 3.
BTA, Diagana and Phillips up front.

Not happy with it but based on performances yesterday there has to be big changes.

I think GD dictates team formation and at this point he isn't doing enough to be in team imho, but then neither is Grant, furlong, Townsend...

Whilst I am a very infrequent visitor to the Hawthorns these days I don't agree with any of this. No thanks.

And what you do as an alternative?

Good appointment.

Not one of old guard.

Leeds fans wanted him to replace March. Hopefully, we will think we have been fortunate to get him in a few months.

No to Beale.

It's one thing winning away when a team pushes on to you. Let's see after a few games when we are at home and a team don't leave their penalty box.

The fact we don’t have a fit natural number 9 makes even more galling that faal and cleary don’t get a sniff of the bench

Totally agree with this comment.

What is the harm in them coming on for 10 minutes??

Alex O'Neil was doing well at Sunderland but Stoke poached him so can we poach Ryan Lowe from Preston?

We are not paying any money to anyone .

Absolutely agree with Balispen.

We put more effort in to banning a drum than getting the owner and manager out of our club.

Albion released 9 youth players in the summer

Jamie Soule, Owen Windsor, Aurio Teixeira, Kevin Joshua, Zak Delaney, Mark Chidi, MacKenzie Lamb, Leon MacHisa and Daniel Ngoma.

Only MacKenzie Lamb (Peterborough United) & Zak Delaney (Inverness) have found a club.

Amazing how many free agents are still around. Clubs seem to have smaller squads and even non-league teams cant afford/needed a big squad.

Seems there is a change happening

Also an indictment of our academy development of u23 players. Albion academy players u16 are in real demand when released. They generally walk into a lower academy.

What changes at u23?

I really don't know what kind of players fans expect us to sign.

Personally I would prefer a young hungry striker than a has been on a pay deal.

Our fans kick off when we are linked with Grabban, and then moan when linked with a young kid. We just don't have the money to sign an established championship striker.

Not Robinson's biggest fan but I would have preferred him coming off the bench rather than Phillips.
