League 1
Luton and Barnsley both promoted to the Championship after Portsmouth and Sunderland both lost their respective games last night.

Meanwhile the scrap at the bottom is looking very tasty, 6 from the bottom 8 play against each other and any one of 6 (mathematically) of those teams could yet still go down depending on how all the results play out.

Walsall are in dire straits and Shrewsbury confirmed themselves safe on Saturday with a 1-1 draw at Coventry

League 2
Bury join Lincoln for promotion to League 1 after a 1-1 draw at Tranmere on Saturday; incidentally Tranmere have drawn against the top 2 in consecutive weeks which has confirmed them a play off spot.

Yeovil were relegated to the Conference on Saturday after a 2-2 draw with Northampton.

Notts County are in the other relegation spot and looking in real trouble, They can now only catch Macclesfield on the last day with a win against mid table Swindon and hope that Macclesfield lose against 4th from bottom Cambridge..

Would be a shame for the "oldest" league team in the world to go down to the conference IMO... but it is what it is!

A sad day for all connected with Notts County FC, founder members of the Football League who are relegated to National League.

A big well done to my missus' team Newport County [my second team] on reaching the L2 playoff final after beating Mansfield on pens - they were in 10th place in L2 until the 87th min of their last game when they equalised against Morecambe.
However, I do sometimes wonder about the play offs - perhaps if the 2 legs finish tied the higher placed team should progress instead of penalties in the absence of the away goals rule???

Pretty amazing, entertaining game with loads of chances for both sides but 0-0 after 120 mins.(my 2nd team also).

Interesting idea but both teams know what they're playing for at the start of the season. Any play off situation makes league position a farce. See Rugby League for the best example.

Bolton are set to become the first English Football League club to go into administration for six years after appointing administrators.

How come Charlton can take pens at the home end without the toss of a coin where our tie and Newport Mansfield they had to toss a coin for ends that can't be right.

Gutted for Donny, as still remember how some of them stayed back and clapped us when we secured up there after beating them, the only time I have celebrated on the pitch at an away ground, as I couldn't get on at Pompey.

Plus I hate Bowyer, just behind Barton in the scumbag stakes, but their controversial owner duchatlet is funny as he blames the FL for letting him buy the Addicks and wants them to buy the club off him, and Charlton go to his house abroad and vandalise it.

I thought exactly the same. The commentator said something about safety reasons. Again... Why were they allowed but not us? Infuriating. The Doncaster players were well angry, as they should be.

Radio London said it was a police decision because items had been thrown onto the pitch earlier in the match from the Doncaster End.

Best thing that could have happened for us, as a Sunderland are more of threat than basket case Charlton.

If anybody watched today's game how did charlton's Joe Aribo play?

Played well and looks a very good prospect, unfortunately Vile are favourites to sign him.
It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

Looks like they have also taken ownership of the Banks' stadium too which is good news.
