Championship Fixtures 2018/19
« on: May 25, 2018, 07:46:02 AM »
Fixtures out on Thursday 21st of June. Shall we have Blues at home to get us going. nice easy start eh. for me i would like to see us at Bristol City away. Nice sunny day 80 miles up the road
Who would you like to see us play against on the first day of the championship season, whats the betting we are on the box

i would say the away attendance could improve on last season

Really looking forward to the fixtures for the first time in a few years. Forest, Derby, Leeds, Bristol City or any of the Sheffield clubs away will do me.

Although as stated above if that was to happen it would probably get moved for tv

I think that our first fixture will definitely be on TV, just hope it's not a Friday night game away at somewhere like Swansea!

Ideally for me it'd be Hull away, or away at either Sheffield club, Leeds or Rotherham (if they get through the play offs) Blues or Villa would also be good.

I think it could be a bit tasty down there if this is a fixture next season, especially with the Wolves connections in Shrewbury

Last time i went to Salop there was a coffin in the crowd  :)

May 1992 and our Manager ran down the players tunnel before the final whistle, never to be seen again thankfully. Mind you, I don't blame him for scarpering as it would have taken more than a couple of Albion Fans to have carried that coffin had they got hold of him that day!! And we won 3-1.

There would probably not be a match in the history of West Bromwich Albion, where the management were not more clued up on the opposition's tactical plan!

That's the frustrating thing. You know almost down to the finest of details how he's going to play. And you still can't beat him.

Except, I think a good manager should be able to beat him. Just hope Darren Moore is in that category.

Apparently, the fixtures are always produced via a random generator. I don't believe this though. The "big" fixtures are always at key times of the year and never grouped together. For instance, Utd never play the other top teams all within a few weeks. They're spread out to ensure excitement.

Is it odd that we got the top 4 away for our first away lot of away games that one season? Not random, I think it's all planned.

They put in so many conditions to the computer system like us and wolves not at home same day, same applies to all cities local rivals. So I doubt it's hard for them
To stipulate that all of the top 4 have to play each other on 2 "super weekends" it's just An extra condition for the pc program
O Albion we love you

Mine to mukka, we could do with a easy start to the season so the seals will do just fine.
