Nearly very embarrassing for Reid then.

Looked a lot more stable.

Mulumbu has been excellent.  Brunt, Dorrans and Morrison are a touch slow moving the ball when we attack.  They seem happy to lay it backwards first time but nothing progressive.

Let's be honest, we're a tad fortunate to be going in 0-0. Clean sheet so far though so you never know what might happen.

Promising signs but lack of goal threat and no out ball are potential worries.

Half time certainly some positives for us, Mulumbu has looked really good alongside Yacob, we have restricted Liverpool to more long range efforts.

We look a lot better harder to break down and have made Liverpool resort to long range shots and few clean cut efforts.

My only problem is that we look toothless up front.  We cant get Long into the game.  At times we've played the ball around lovely but we have no cutting edge.

I'm encouraged by that first half though.  Theres something lacking but its not half good seeing Mulumbu and Yacob back in centre midfield.

Its been like watching a one side boxing match so far, waiting to get knocked out.

Reina and Long might as well not be on the pitch.

BBC website says "West Brom's young players..." errr, that'd be????  Usual lazy journalism, a strapline off the recycled pile.

5 midfielders and yet we are still hoofing it upto long, Olsson just argue's for the sake of it now aswell, Agger has left him in no mans land from set-pieces.

We haven't had a shot and i would take a draw all day long.

You'd have thought that Clarke would have banned Odemwhinger from texting from the bench, even though he is not in the squad. After all, his texts have caused the club so many problems already. Overall, a satisfactory first half. Hopefully, we can step it up in the second half.

Hate to say it but we're missing the directness and pace of Odemwingie.  None of our players really carry the ball.  Brunt, Dorrans, Morrison all tend to just stop when they've received the ball.

I'd like to see Thomas on but I can't imagine he'd take Brunt off for him so it would mean Thomas on the right which I'm not sure about.

Long looks a full two strides behind his normal pace. We have no width or penetration. It's clear what type of players we need for next season (not light weight wingers, they don't seem to be Clarke's type exactly). We are desperately short of pace currently throughout the team.

Otherwise a very encouraging performance. We are well organized, our backline has managed to keep a higher line and we close down much better. We finally have a real team out there so Clarke has something to work with.

With Mozza off the boil, it's going to have to be a set piece or Shane getting free after a Liverpool mistake.

Nothing up front, too many lumps up to Long.
When we get the ball down and play through the middle we look like a football team.
Brunty keeps drifting inside leaving Ridgwell exposed, Morrisson and Dorrans need to be more involved.
Look solid enough, hope we dont spoil it in the second half.

We're going to concede unless we can start holding it up in their half.
