West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Yann M'Vila signs short term deal
« on: February 19, 2024, 06:17:44 PM »
I'm sure if the club have worries about his fitness I highly doubt they would've continued with the deal, surely severe lack of fitness would get picked up in any medical? However, im sure he may struggle with game rust more than anything. Good signing though for a short term deal in my view.

Fans didn't really get behind the team tonight. Top of the league playing poorly, but couldve done with the extra energy from the stands to push us on a bit more

Never mind the quality ,count the points  ;)

We've being saying that far too much this season for a team in the top 4, amazes me

The shortlist is pretty dire. Recycled managers that will just all play the same football. But Jokanovic is the obz the clear runner for me as he's been there and done it with Fulham, albeit through the play-offs... As much as we moaned about Big Dave not learning from mistakes, he can leave with his head held high after regaining our honour and at the end of last season and where we are now

Tbf  thisbone the best I've seen any championship team play all season. Absolutely ruthless tempo and pressing. Something we've never been good at dealing with

All the games from here on in are massive and we should be looking at maximum points from all of them really. If we want to be finish in the top two we have to win these kind of games, our away form has been superb so there's no reason why we cant win, QPR are on a poor run. Its the home form where we've been faltering. Next three games will define our fate this season COYB!!!

Same old mistakes cost us really, poor individual errors at the back. Feel if we had a Phillips or Gayle on with that added bit of quality we may have nicked it... If's and buts though... Kids played very well. Tulloch really got us up the pitch and showed glimpses of quality. Bit odd seeing Jones taking lots of the team talk at the end of the game, Moore looked liked he was listening in, maybe it happens but just something i saw. Gutted to go out love the fa cup was disappointed with the attendance tonight aswell, mid week cup game on tv but should be getting more in than that, especially as the digles sold out. Full steam ahead through a massive February now!!!

                                                                                     Rondon

This has to be the sort of team we should play when chadli is back from injury and has got himself together

This one hurts tbh. Would've taken a point before.  Conceding so late in the game is very hard to take. Especially when we probably should've won west ham and Tottenham games with glorious chances, could've been sitting very pretty.  Still a good result though. COYB! !

I think this is a good thing personally. He obviously thought the party interested would be somehow detrimental to the club's tradition and policies that he's worked so hard to put in place. I say fair play to him for not selling out in my opinion. Obviously it brings an end to some excitement for the time being. But I'd rather be in the club be in Mr safe hands for a bit longer.

Disappointed with English football yet again this summer. Disgraceful prices for players. How qpr can charge 10 mil for a player after having one season in prem and hardly setting any fires a light is beyond me. Obviously Austin scoring more than 5 goals in a season then obviously qpr must think they have messi amongst them. I do feel disappointed so far with the progress, however with it only being July it's not panic stations yet. But we must get our targets in to prepare them properly and to avoid a mass panic buy saga at end of the window.

I for one would be very happy if someone wants to buy the us and invest heavily to make us progress as a club. However, I'm very much the believer that a club should be British run (Being a bit of purist). I've always said I'd have much less love for our club if we went American, Chinese or Arab. I've always been proud that Albion is run by an Englishman, not only English but from the area as well, how rare is that! and has predominantly stuck to British managers. Going foreign could seriously damage the heritage of this club and is something I personally wouldn't be that happy with

Taking into account the mass clear out that will happen this summer, especially with mulumbu gone who was probably was one of the top earners at the club, the wage bill should be cut a fair amount this summer.

Not quite sure why, but I don't feel as bad as the loss in the league game, will probably hit me like a brick in the week. Should've wrapped the game up in the first tbh, got hit with an early goal in second half and never recovered. Our back line is soooo slow, painfully slow, why or why does he not play gamboa or poc is bewildering. The amount of times we hoofed it up to nobody was just ridiculous, we don't have the players up top to play that sort of game so why do we do it? Just waiting for crouch to be linked with us tbh.
