Paulo Di Canio resigned at Swindon yesterday.
Tonight, Swindon's win at Tranmere put them top of the League 1.
Can anyone remember a club being managerless while top of any division?

Coventry now homeless after today's news.

Coventry are ready to finish the season away from the Ricoh Arena after effectively writing off their debt to the stadium's owners.

Wonder what's this ground in the 'West Midlands' they'll be playing at for the rest of the season?

Surely not the Hawthorns  ???

Really, with their 'rivalry'. I notice they average around 10,000 would they be able to use Bescott?

I would have thought it is more likely to be Blues, as they could do with the revenue.
It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

I've not checked but I saw a tweet from a Blues fan yesterday saying their fixtures clash so I don't think its possible for it to be at Blues.

You are correct, if they do not reorganise fixture dates the only side that does not clash at some point is Vile!

Danny Wilson has left Sheffield United. Slightly surprised why he has left still in with a chance of automatic promotion.

It's been on the cards for a while. They haven't scored a goal at Bramall Lane in nearly two months. The last time they did was in February when they beat Colchester. Interesting that they have appointed Chris Morgan, a man who possess no managerial experience. Wilson has been working with a budget which has been cut dramatically and promotion was viewed as must this season - whilst their form has tailed, Wilson's past history of playing for Wednesday has come to the forefront which was to be expected, he wasn't a favourite when he joined.

He can, however, count himself very unlucky that they didn't get promoted last season. I think they reached 90 points which in any other season would have seen them promoted - what didn't help was that it was their arch rivals that beat them to the remaining automatic spot.

A big club like Sheffield United needs to be in the Championship possibly could be a third season in League one wont go well, however it took the likes or Leeds and Charlton that long to get back in the Championship.

Why do they need to be?

They are where they are because the board have been incompetent with their managerial appointments and finances over the last few years, particularly the appointment of Bryan Robson and are now struggling financially. This was the season they needed to return and it so far looks like they won't - if you believe the reports, then it's only McCabe keeping them afloat.

Personally, their fans reaction and the clubs reaction to the Ched Evans debacle makes me hope they stay in that league for as long as they possibly well can.

I feel that they need to be in a higher league due to the fact that will crowds drop next season if they don't go up. One person who would fit that club like a glove Neil Warnock.

Bournemouth are promoted. I think mathematically as well.

Even if Brentford win tonight to take them to 81 points. Brentford and Doncaster play each other on the last day. If either team win, Bournemouth promoted. If its a draw, Bournemouth have superior goal difference.

HA! You going to begrudge them that? 4 years ago they were sitting on -17 at the bottom of league 2. The club and they're fans have been through the mill these past few years. Eddie Howe is the best thing that has happened to that club! Remember they were also nearly promoted 2 seasons ago, when they had no budget.

Eddie Howe has done a great job for them, I'm glad that they have gone up. Port Vale have gone up from League two today.
