Blues have sold Che Adams to Southampton.

Genuinely think they'll be in a relegation dogfight this season, even without the threat of another points deduction.

It was to be expected really given the state of finances.

I fancy Blues to go down next year. So far that is.

I don't rate Adams particularly, think he'll be a flop in the Premier.

As for Blues - wow, what is going on there? If I were a Blues fan I'd almost need someone on suicide watch. And some people think we have problems!

Big player for Blues, they'll need to pull a few rabbits out of a hat to replace his 22 league goals over the course of the coming season.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Adding to Monk and Adams leaving, the club captain Morrison has now left aswell, couldn't agree a deal on a new contract.

Could see us potentially going in for him if its cheap enough.

I said this in the transfer thread. I've seen him a few times down the years and he's consistently been their best defender - 42 games last season and captain is not bad but at 31 his age is the only negative.

On another note, it's looking grim if you're a blue nose. Monk, Adams, Jota and now Morrison all gone - that is the spine of their team and a good manager too gone in the space of a month.

Only 1 of the 3 will be there at the end of the season, and Johnson at Bristol will impress

Cocu is interesting - absolutely smashed it with PSV but struggled in Turkey. Hopefully for our sake he is a homebird and will struggle with the new climate.

Cocu has a good pedigree. Tactical brains behind PSV for many years.

I wonder whether Cocu was on the Stalking Department's watch list at any point.

I will look at Derby's season with extra interest. Either Cocu will get them buzzing playing really good attacking football, or like Frank de Boer at Palace, he will be on a completly different wavelength to the players and staff. I think though that Cocu is more pragmatic than de Boer could ever be.

Mitrovic renewed his contract with Fulham. Not good news. I assume there's a getout clause/trigger of course but he will smash it in this league.

Fulham have signed Cavaleiro from Wolves on a season long loan deal. With Sessegnon (if he stays), Cavaleiro and Mitrovic as your attacking 3, they should be challenging this season for the title. Their squad depth on paper is impressive.

Huddersfield Kit - hoax or genuine?

Definitely wouldn't be allowed. Paddy Power is superb at generating his own publicity.

They wore it in a friendly last night. Still could be a publicity stunt though.

I don’t think the FA rules apply on sponsors in friendlies so that is why they would’ve got away with it.

Rate Knockaert. While I still think Sessegnon will leave, they currently have a fearsome championship side.

On another note, Jude Bellingham, who only a few weeks ago turned 16, scored 2 goals for Blues vs Swindon the other day. I've heard on very, very, very good authority that a couple of months ago he received a very good financial offer from Arsenal, and yet unlike Louis Barry and Morgan Rodgers he has chosen to stay at Blues and sign a 2 year deal.

We maybe need to look at Blues (and maybe Villa and Wolves as well) and work out how, despite producing more England youth internationals than all 3, we still never seem to either a, keep our best kids, or b, help them transition from top youth prospects to fully fledged pros. Blues have had Redmond, Gray and Butland have all generated a good profit for our circus friends.

With the best will in the world Arsenal are not Barcelona and Manchester City.

They aren't quite no, but they are still in that "Super club" bracket, and they are generally near the very top of the food chain.

From the little I've seen he's a very talented young man. I'd be genuinely amazed if Arsenal were the only top flight team to have offered him a very good financial offer too. I'll be watching his career with interest.  Bloody good player.
