Thought they already had academy status and were in fact many years ahead of us.

Indeed,

Dingles had academy status a number of years before we did.
It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think the W*lves will have a good season this time and finish anywhere from 15th to 10th.
On paper, their current squad seems too good to go down.
Basically, this time last season they had the exact same squad but without O'Hara and Johnson. Money talks and with that they will already be better in defence and more creative. 2 players that give them 2 strengths which they needed to improve on big time last season  :(

You stick it in the league for a couple of seasons while slowly building then you should be staying up quite comfortably, we need to make sure we don't waste our opportunity this coming season.

Wolves squad doesn't inspire me at all. They already had O'Hara last season and it isn't their defence they need to improve its their creativity and quality.  Will struggle again.

Mark Noble linked with us on Sky rumour room, love it to be true but can't see it happening myself.  ::)

I think we'll sign Upson and a left back and that will probably be it.

We possibly do. But I think both teams can comfortably avoid the drop. By this I mean anywhere between 15th and up. As odd as it sounds, when we finished 11th, I still think we struggled at times and it was a deceptive finish. Newcastle who finished below us for instance were much safer throughout the season, we happened to have a strong finish.

Also...those saying the W*lves team is still 'weak', I hate to say it but it's really not and has a great spine, from Johnson to O'Hara to Doyle. Not to forget Jarvis, Fletcher and Hunt. The only problem I can see them having is if their key players get injured or if Johnson flops terribly.

Heard a few rumours that Hitzelsperger was there today to discuss a potential deal.

Thomas Hitzlsperger is still available on a bosman - Villa and Stoke have been linked. I think he wants to stay in England and I think he would really improve the team. I know we all well stocked in the midfield department, but I would be disappointed if we haven't at least registered an interest.

Darn it!

I hope we have at least tried to get him.

Don't think he's the kind of midfielder we are in for this summer, as I say its only a rumour I've heard so may not be true.

I hope so - he must really hate Albion if he goes there.  ;D

Wolves Express & Dingle journo Tim Nash has confirmed it on twitter: I can confirm free agent Thomas Hitzelsperger was at Molineux for talks 2day. But I'm told there's no imminent move. Wolves must clear decks.

If that deal goes through, he's a quality signing for them. Always rated Hitzelsperger. Absolute monster of a left peg.

He occasionally hits a rocket but mostly he is pooh. The Germans always vote him as in their top 5 biggest failures to leave Germany.

Been revealed that Wolves only paid 4 million and 3.5million for Johnson and O'Hara.  Excellent excellent busineness, would have like us to have been in for both players at them prices, particularly Johnson.

Anybody actually think this is accurate? 4 million for Johnson and no add ons?!

It is only the Express and Dingle reporting this..
