That was very very poor from Dawson

Friendly a side, he isn't good enough and I'll be sad if he starts on Saturday

May only be a friendly, but does not bode well I'm afraid, defence has looked poor all pre season, lack any threat going forward, much like last season.

Are we really surprised ?  Looking at the team we can put out it's no improvement upon last seasons with Baird and Gardner just 'squad fillers' and unknowns at full backs - we are heaping a hell of a lot of expectation on our 'quality signings' Gamboa, Lescott and Ideye to really make a difference and turn us around.

I really think we need 2/3 more first team quality creative forward players as I really only class Vic, Brunt and Berahino as back up..........

After Forest made a pledge not to go today to keep things a bit fresh going into the real start next week - so glad I kept to my promise despite almost being swayed throughout the week!

Gardner just looks like another of our slow stereotypical midfield players like another Morrsion and Dorrans - not quite good enough and not able to deliver consistently at this level.

Sorry but we are awful.  Do not feel this is just a simple friendly.  Nothing going forward and a porous defence. Oh, and we are loosing the battle in midfield and the passing is woeful... apart from that great!

Gardner, Morrison and Dorrans are no more than good Championship players. They are out of their depth in the Premiership, but it looks like we're lumbered with them until the end of the season - when they will be playing in the Championship (for us) :-[

A friendly, yes. But despite the out of character patronising comments from Steve Madely and Chris L about 'hysteria', there remains some concern.

The team looks unbalanced - yes I know some players currently unavailable due to fitness, but as previously stated, first 6 games are big ones for us.

Still a lack of pace throughout team - hopefully new recruits can help with this.

Inability to keep the ball for a period of time.

Readily take in to account the opposition, who looked quality throughout. But still some concern ahead of next week.

Porto are a very good side so no harm in losing. We struggled to get the ball from them but silly defending didn't help, we seem to especially struggle from defending set pieces still.  Sessegnon is one of the first names on the teamsheet for me. We obviously need some wingers and a striker still and the new players to come in to hopefully make a difference.

Erm, it's a friendly.

West Bromwich Albion are supposed to be a Premier League football club, and theres absolutley no way the club is geared up for a season of Premier League football.

Maybe the booing is a result of people pre empting exactly what is going to happen next season? It isn't rocket science to figure out whats going to happen is it.....

A week before the season starts and we've got a team full of plodders on the pitch, no second gear, no tempo no wingers no creativity and pretty much nothing.

The only thing that was worse than the performance was the booing at the final whistle. They're champions league for goodness sake, and more than half our squad for the season weren't available.

Dawson needs to go, he's worse than bad.

Craig has not kicked on but has got steadily worse. If Burnley still want him then he should go.

I keep saying why are people surprised by the booing? Think a few on here will be in for a shock if we don't win next week.

Just accept Burnley's next bid and be done with it.

Booing at a friendly haha? No wonder we've had players desperate to get out of the club. It's a friendly against a good outfit.

We still have new signings to come in who could offer us a lot more. Brown will be a big addition you'd like to think along with Gamboa.

Hopefully those booing haven't got season tickets.
