Gutted for them. Just needed to avoid defeat at City who have bought it again. Shame.

Not really. Biggest signing was mahrez and he's played the odd  game

Hard not to feel sorry for Liverpool who are a superb side. It will be criminal if they fail to win anything this season.

City aren’t the first club, nor will they be the last to spend big on achieving Premier League success, it’s the way of the football world.

Most clubs spend big relative to their income to achieve success, some overreach with dire consequences and transgress FFP Rules.  So, it could be construed as being disingenuous to criticise them, unless they beat your second favourite team of course.  ;)

Congrats to Man City and their class manager and superior team. Far better than the horrible Klopp winning it.

Only a spend of £162m for Liverpool in the Summer to add to the £149m last Summer

Both clubs (and others) have brought success, its the modern way.

But not necessarily the right way. Ajax, paid £10m for Tadic and £14m for Blind, and the rest either their own youth or bought for peanuts and developed through their academy.

you may also forget that Bilnd was theirs originally and sold to Man U for just under 16m.

How does that compare to the rest of the Dutch league?

Maybe I wasn't clear, I was talking about the many breaches of FFP City are guilty of that they have been trying to suppress in the news/public arena.

Similar to PSV and Feyenoord. But if you compare it to their competitors in European competition!

I love how Liverpool fans act as if they wouldn't have spent that money if they didn't sell first. Come on, pull the other one  ;D

Well done City, now come on Spurs.

If they have broken any rules they will be punished, if like other clubs they have taken advantage of things but not broke rules then not sure they can be criticised. Other clubs have done similar to a lesser extent as the owners don't have the same clout.

Yep , you’d think he was on the wrong clubs forum 😂😂
I am extremely happy that klippety has failed again, just need him to fail again against spurs for a full house
Actually heard bitter reds on the radio saying that because they got so many points they hadn’t actually lost the league 😂😂😂, can’t wait till they go in to corals

I wonder what odds you'd get today on Ole winning the sack race next season?

If they've got any sense they'll get Poch the day after the CL final.

I know United fans dancing in the streets that City have taken their city and won back to back titles. Mind boggles.

Did Manchester City buy their new ground or was it free after the Commonwealth games?

Manchester City Council still own the stadium, it's leased by the club but the conversion was paid for roughly 50/50 between the club and council.

Thanks for that info Hunnington.
My point know is that the Etihad stadium is an amazing place, but it didn't cost them massive bucks did it.
If they had to build it from scratch it would have cost say £750 mill ?
