Doesn't look like Hull will be bringing many.

They have almost sold the 2 blocks nearest the East Stand and have started selling the next block along at the top (A2 for those familar with our ground plan)

They do have pay on the day though.

Hull’s following could be affected by Rugby League, as it’s the Good Friday Derby at 12.45 at the KC between Hull FC and the shower from East Hull. I would imagine that those who follow both sports are likely to see the game at KC as more of a pull.

Wow, I just had a quick look at the table and Hull aren't as far down as I thought they were.

They're definitely in the hunt still for a play off spot.

This will be tough.

East Stand            940
Brummie Road      644
West Stand           153
Smethwick            Sold Out

Considering we are forth, certainties for the play offs with only two home league games to go our support is pathetic it really is.

Very harsh mate , some people’s lives don’t revolve around football on a bank holiday weekend. Some people will be going away with the family or doing other things. Some people still work good Friday. Let’s face it these last 4 games are dead games with us more or less guaranteed a play off spot . There’s more to life then going up the Albion mate all though I will be there Friday  :)

You can make the same excuses for fans of all clubs but Sheffield United, Leeds and Norwich will all, if not sell out, have far more supporters at their games than we will at ours. Villa got 41,000 on Saturday.

Not harsh, just true our support is shocking.

Don’t think you can compare us to villa or Leeds mate there much bigger clubs then us, sheff Utd and Norwich will get 25/26 thousand very similar to us

Norwich though they sell out most games are the only club within a circle extending from peterborough to Ipswich which arcs down to north east laandan (unless you factor in Cambridge's 3k fans) their caption area is huge, meanwhile in B71 !

Leeds on the other hand is the sole club in the Uks 5th? largest city and have a significant historical fanbase still, whereas still in B71 !
the road to the summit has dips, keep the faith when navigating those dips !!

Our support level is disappointing and always has been. It makes no difference to me personally. I will be there and that is my only concern. This lack of support is the reason why I truly believe there is no point in increasing our stadium capacity. Its big enough.

The fan base is just not there.

We are in direct competition with 4 other clubs locally for fans and West Bromwich itself is a relatively small town compared to towns and cities with other clubs.

We have punched above our weight for the past few seasons.

Our fans don't come from West Bromwich. West Bromwich is part of Sandwell which has only one club and Sandwell has a population of 325,000. Furthermore we have over 50,000 people on our database. Historically we've had 50,000 gates, 40,000 gates and even some 60,000 gates. There are more people in the country now than there were then and the poulation of Sandwell has increased by 40,000 since 1981.

The fanbase is most definitely there. They just can't be arsed to turn up.

I'm well aware of that. I have lived in Sandwell all my life. Sandwell is also one of the most deprived boroughs in the country with a large ethnic minority population (a group underrepresented in football attendances). Many fans in Sandwell also, regrettably, choose to follow the dingles or veela.

And many people in Dudley, Birmingham, Worcestershire etc follow Albion.

As for the deprived borough thing - our ticket prices are low which reflects that.

Over the Xmas period (a very expensive time for everyone) and just after we had five successive home gates in excess of 23,000, three complete sell outs and 24,500 home fans v Wigan. Where have these people suddenly gone? Some indifferent results and they can't be bothered.

Excuses, I'm sick of them. Lets see how many fans we have if we get to the play off final or if we play Villa in the semi's. Bet you any money you like our "non-existent" fans exist again then.

I've spent well over £1000 following home and away this season so think I've earned my right to attend the playoffs.

As for the rest of our fans, you moaning on an internet forum is not the answer to getting them to attend. There are reasons why people are not choosing to attend. Address those and the people will come.

Up until 3 years ago I went home and away, last couple of years aways are difficult for me due to a few things going on at home, this season despite having an away season ticket I think i've been to 5 aways and will be going to Derby and also the play offs.

Theres a number of reasons why people don't go, some can't be bothered, some can't afford to go regularly, some have to work and some have other reasons.

we still need a few points but I'm at least as interested in how we set up and play as in the result
