On another note, does anyone “in the know†have any idea when ours will be announced?
Have noted this week a number of clubs announcing their early bird deals so was curious as to when ours would be done.
-
I'd guess they'll be subject to a freeze.
-
Undecided as if I want one or not
-
Undecided as if I want one or not
Me too. Depends on what happens re manager etc
-
Of course i will be getting mine, no matter who is Manager what league we are in i will be there always have always will! Also I will be 60 next year and will get my half price s/t after the money i have spent over the last 50 odd years i ain't missing out on that!
-
As long as I can afford it I'll always renew.
-
I work shifts and the prospect of arranging shift swaps means its a NO from me.
Also it sticks in my craw the thought of contributing wages ( however little that may be ) to the overpaid , underperforming , mercenaries in todays game.
The game is lost to me now , I stopped subscribing to sky a while back purely because I'm sick of ex players milking a living , over hyping games and waffling on ,and on , and on , just talking rubbish.
plus watching the antics of some of these snowflake players , goin down "squailling like babbies " trying to con referees just angers me beyond belief..
I shall probably still go and have a pre match beer with the lads but then go off and do something else.
-
Yes of course I will have one, have been going for over 50 years and am not going to stop now cause of a rubbish season.
-
Yep,I'll be getting mine, even though our owners have no real affinity with the fans and sometimes I feel like that they are just abusing the fact that we were here before they got here and will be here long after they've gone.
Price wise I think they'll leave the cost of the tickets as they are, there will be more games so in real terms match day tickets will be reduced inprice
-
I always have said that I would be there regardless of which division we were in but I would not have renewed if Pulis was in charge, I am entirely good to my word.
-
Yes my 50th, so I am hoping to have cause for celebration
-

I have felt similar to this for a while now. I was a season ticket holder and traveled to watch them for years. I go occasional now but always look for results first and still get nervous for them on match days. I watch Stourbridge far more often these days. I'm on holiday in Devon this week and going to watch Barnstaple play Didcot today but I'll be hoping to watch MOTD tonight and see Big Dave with a smile on his face before and after the game. I will go to matches next season but there'll be no season ticket for the foreseeable for me.
-
Thought I had heard that the club were "looking at ticket prices" which I had taken as a reduction coming our way. Certainly cannot see them rising given we will be in the championship next season.
-
I think they will freeze the cost and say it’s effectively (which it is) a cut given the amount of home games in the Championship.
-
I think they will freeze the cost and say it’s effectively (which it is) a cut given the amount of home games in the Championship.
I did think though given the "we need the disillusioned fans back on side" kind of quotes that we've heard that they'd reduce them.
I think they'd run the risk of losing 1000's of season ticket holders even if they froze the prices.
May be hoping for too much but i can see £50 coming off the prices
-
I hope they knock the memberships back down to a fiver again. Be interesting to know how much sales took a hit after they tripled the price.
-
Voted 'undecided' as I want a positive indication from the club as to which direction we are going first.....
If someone akin to Mad Mick gets the gig then out comes the fishing tackle......
-
I'll be renewing both home and away.
-
I assume nothing will be decided or announced until our eventual fate is sealed but as I have been 'off the grid' for a few weeks I wondered if there have been any hints or indicators yet?
More games per season would probably cover keeping prices the same or a slight reduction but as I have said elsewhere I really intend to hang on as long as possible to see who we appoint as next manager.
But then in the next breath I have to admit there is a 99.9% probability I will sign up for my well priced concession ST in my lovely seat in the Smethwick no matter who it is as its the club I support not the manager :D (though the club have tried my patience severely recently)
-
Not for me, but, will be doing a few more games this season as we have Norwich / Ipswich / London / east mids / Hull in range now plus a few home games of course. Shame I'll miss out on Burton, never been there.
-
I'll renew, will always be there through thick and thin...unless they ever rehire Pulis
-
These boards are occasionally perused by members of staff from the club. With that in mind, they can mind their own business. And while they're minding their own business they can check the ticket office for my ticket to Newcastle away. Which I ordered and paid for on March 29th! Strangely enough, my tickets for Palace away arrived yesterday.
So for any ticket office staff reading this post, back to work and get your fingers out >:( .

Add the same trouble with an extra ticket I ordered for the Liverpool game 3 times I asked what had happenedd to the ticket and it finally came yesterday.

Did the statement by Jenkins yesterday confirm an announcement due on the season tickets today?
What do we reckon, price hike thanks to our recent upturn in form? ;D
-
i reckon announcement at 11am

ALBION fans can take advantage of major price reductions for 2018/19 season tickets - the cheapest for 10 years.
Adult season-ticket holders will benefit from a saving of £70 compared to last summer’s prices - and between £46-£51 for Earlybird purchasers - in all areas of the stadium.
With adult tickets now starting from just £329 in the Birmingham Road and Smethwick Ends, supporters can watch the Baggies launch their bid for a Premier League return for the equivalent of £14.31 per match.
That’s just one of the attractive features of the Club’s season ticket price guide for a campaign which will see Albion celebrate our 140th anniversary.
And there’s a great offer for younger Baggies.
We’ve extended the under-11 price category from the West Stand to all areas of the stadium with season tickets priced at just £49. That’s the equivalent of £2.13 per fixture.
It means an adult and an under-11 junior could commit to all 23 home league games for £378 for the season – that’s just £16.44 per game.
We’ve also targeted support for families with teenagers in full-time education and have responded to feedback from fans by extending the under-17 category, including the £99 season ticket, to under-18.
Seniors also receive a saving and can grab a season ticket for as little as £269.
| Adult | U11 | U18 | U23/Student | Senior | Disabled |
Birmingham Road | £329 | £49 | £99 | £199 | £269 | £150 |
Smethwick End | £329 | £49 | £99 | £199 | £269 | £150 |
East Stand Lower | £379 | £49 | £109 | £259 | £299 | £170 |
East Stand Upper | £429 | £49 | £129 | £299 | £339 | - |
West Stand | £429 | £49 | £129 | £299 | £339 | £170 |
There is important advance notice for our senior fans.
For the 2019/20 campaign, the season after next, we will be falling in line with the vast majority of clubs across the country and adjusting the concessions criteria for the Senior category to 65 and over.
However, we will honour our existing concessions for next season and beyond for supporters aged 60-64 who purchase a season ticket this summer and continue to renew going forward.
For clarity, if a seniors concessionary rate is available to you now, it always will be.
Existing season ticket holders have until 5pm on Friday, June 8 to renew their existing seat. After this time it will be released for general sale.
Any supporter looking to become a season ticket holder for 2018/19 can buy a season ticket now and will then have the opportunity to move their seat to any that are un-renewed after the June 8 deadline. Further details on this will be announced in due course.
Season tickets can be purchased online at wbatickets.co.uk or by visiting or calling the Ticket Office on 0121 227 2227.
Fans wishing to spread the cost can do so over 10 months with a direct debit scheme or interest free when paying with an Albion MasterCard. To pay by direct debit visit wbatickets.co.uk and select ‘Direct Debit’ as payment option.
To find out more about the benefit of paying with an Albion MasterCard or to find out how to apply for a new one, click here.
We’ll be writing to season ticket holders in the next week or so with their personal renewal details but any supporter can purchase a season ticket now from any of the methods above.
And please remember - if you are planning to renew your season ticket keep hold of your Stilecard as they will not be replaced for the 2018/19 season.
-
Good start to the summer.
-
Seriously considering a season ticket now, this is a great move by the club.

Anyone else having trouble buying?
Blimey, you're after plenty of worms with that early bird offer! Not tried as yet, will wait until pay day but, save for them appointing Allardyce or Pulis between now and then, this will be my 28th successive season ticket.
-
Very tempted by this offer. Much more affordable now. Haven't had a ST for about 4 years now (I think) and have been picking the odd game so I'm out of the habit.
I'm going to wait and see how things pan out though first in terms of who we get in as manager and what happens with the players. Might leave it until the last minute but those kind of things could sway my decision.
-
I was always going to renew, but this is terrific. When he said 'statement of intent', I was thinking big price rises to go towards the transfer fund.
-
As long as I can afford it I renew but this is superb, across the board. Well done Albion
-
However, some Albion fans have also confirmed that they won't be taking in the football on offer, with 32% claiming that football in the second tier would not interest them enough to part with their cash. 16% said they'd wait and see who's in permanent charge of the club before spending their money.

I hope that 32% never return if I'm honest, don't need fans like that . Suppose every club has them though
FairPlay to the Albion. Actually looking forward to next season, something I haven't done for a long while

I would assume that the poll has received contributions to it from people who aren't Albion fans, but your point remains correct. I have no time for those fans who only go to games when we reach the top tier.
-
Fantastic by the club. Really good value for the Championship, particular the kids prices.
Several of my mates already saying they will buy one who haven't had one for a few years (Pulis drove them away).
-

Along the lines I have banged on about all season.
I go to watch Albion, nobody else.
I am looking forward to next season more than I have any season since the Clarke year.
No more tourist fans, waving Korean/Chinese/Brazilian/Egyptian flags (depending on who we were playing) being played off the park by a team that cost £600m, with boxing announcers reading out the team sheet at stadiums being built for NFL and MBL rather than football.
Bored of the Prem, wish we could finish 1st but stay down.
Well done Albion though on these prices.
-
Just can’t seem to shake the bug off. With no Pulis around and my feelings for the club revived by DM’s wonderful leadership I’ve just bought two season tickets for next year after only attending one home game this season and two last season.
Call me fickle but really over the last few weeks it has really felt like DM has given the club new life and reconnected it to the supporters.
-
Anyone else having trouble buying?
Yes there is no option for a renewal.
On the prices. I was always going to renew, however these prices mean i might aswell get my you g Daugter one and start her baggies journey.
-
Will be waiting to see who is appointed manager. I don't trust Jenkins one bit.
Decent reductions though so it's a start.
-
I have renewed.
-
Not had one since 2013 but will be getting two
-
Not had one for a good few years, but that price is hard not too. Will give it a month or so though before I fully decide. Very tempting.

Why wait? You know you’ll do it anyway.

I have renewed.
Two of us at least then mate
-
Had my first season ticket in 1969. Halfords Lane stand £8. I also bought a ticket for a friend, with him saying "Don't tell Hazel how much it cost."
-
Great prices. Last year there was 2 of us. We've already got about 6 of us committed to getting a season ticket next season.

I hope they never return aswell, get the proper supporters up there who support the Albion and not the greed league. I will always go no matter who is in charge or what league we are in, and at those prices for the kids i might get my 4 year old granddaughter one aswell! Especially after she said to me saturday grandad will you buy me a little Albion shirt and take me up the match!

Thank god for that.

Anyone else having trouble buying?
I wasn't planning on sorting out my renewals for a couple of weeks but just went online to have a look and there's no renew option.
Just chatting to a couple of others about it on F/Book and they have the same problem (although it does seem a fair few have already renewed).
Presume it's just teething problems affecting some users? so will try again in a couple of days.

Same every year, just keep trying and eventually it works.
-
I don't think I've managed to ever buy tickets online. The system is terrible.
When I try to renew it just tells me there are no season tickets to renew. Maybe it's trying to tell me something ;D
-
Official Twitter account says they're having technical difficulties with the online ticketing for fans trying to renew, they're working on it though.

Cracking up grade the other week, glad it all went smoothly.......
-
I also spoke to the ticket office who confirmed that if anyone wants to pay by direct debit rather than outright then this has to be done online. Apparently the ticket office can't do direct debit payments..
-
FAO WBAinDevon.
If abroad then I hope you're enjoying some sun.
Just wondered whether you'll be purchasing a season ticket at these prices?
Has the upturn in results towards then end of this campaign wet your appetite for the next?
-
I haven't had a season ticket for years what with work commitments and one thing or another and it is still difficult enough for me but this morning I bit the bullet and bought myself a season ticket.
-
Looking at the seating plan in the Halfords, it looks as though lots have already been sold. Are the previous season's ticket holders seats held until a certain date? because I don't wanna buy a seat further down the end of the pitch and then discover I could have bought one nearer the half way.
EDITED:
Just found the FAQs and have found the answer. It helps if you look doesn't it lol.
-
I'm getting one, nowt to do with the cost, everything to do with a new dawn..
I'm a few years off OAP status, but think they should get a much better deal...I really would applaud any club that does their tickets for £5 a game.
Anyway, actually looking forward to next year....so I await the mclaren appointment to ruin it all 😄

Ordered my OAP ticket last night. Just worked out it’ll be costing me a bit over £14 a match so if you want to sub me the rest to bring it down to a fiver then that’s very generous of you. :) Cheers!
-
I've not had a season ticket for about 4 years and just picked and chosen games as and when, but just bought for next season, mine, my mate's and an U18 ticket for my step daughter who came to her first game with us last week and caught the Albion bug ;D (In fairness, I did pick a good game for the emotional level to get her hooked ;) )

They've changed it this year to fall in line with other clubs and raised it to 65 but they are going to honour all that have already been receiving senior tickets

Not sure that’s quite right. The concession age is being raised to 65, however if you are presently between 60 & 64 then you qualify.
That’s how I read it at least.

I have edited one word but is that not what I said ?

Typical, they put the bus passes up when i reached 60 as well. I haven't had an ST for 4 seasons due to family reasons, but i might pick a few games next season.
Thanks for the responses.
-

Not quite. As I read it, regardless of whether or not you already had a season ticket, if you are between 60 & 64 you qualify for the concession.
Slightly different to your interpretation, unless I misunderstand your post in which case I apologise.

I think we both meant the same thing :D
-
As I'm 65 later this year, I know Dan unbelievable, this will be the best £269.00 I will have spent in the last decade!
-
I would like to apologise if I have placed this in the incorrect thread.
I renewed my ticket on Friday morning. Also, I have bought a season ticket for my 5-year-old daughter - as she enjoyed going to home matches this season (got another one hooked for life).
When I purchased her ticket, the club told me that I needed to attach a photo to her account online. When I try to attach the file (jpeg file), the website is saying that the file is not recognised (which is under 200kb).
Has anyone else had the same issue? If so, how did you manage to upload your image?

I had a similar issue after getting my 5 year old one. . I emailed the ticket office with the photo as an attachment and included their membership no & D.O.B etc. & had a fairly prompt response saying they've updated it for me. I hope that helps.

Went to watch Kidderminster Harriers every home game this season and some away matches as they were playing better football than my beloved Albion but now Pulls has gone I'll be getting myself a season ticket next year.
Anyone know if the Halfords is open for STs? I remember an announcement a while back I think which was that no more ST will be sold to new ST holders in that stand. I fancy trying it out due to the closer proximity to the train station and I've been in every other stand at some point.
-
This is a great idea from the club, anyone know how many st have been sold, could be a record year.
-
My estimate is around 16,000. Really depends on who we appoint as Manager.

I would be very surprised if that's the case. I remember an announcement that there would be no new season tickets for concessions at reduced prices so that may be what you are referring to

Yes, you can definitely buy season tickets in the Halfords for next season.

I mean unless you are looking for a library atmosphere, I wouldn't recommend it all that much however ;D Got to be the Brummie or Smethwick for an ST.
The East, for view and legroom

I was always going to renew but probably not renew my wife's (who's had one for 18 years) as she really was losing interest and cannot make midweek games.
However, the new pride of the last half dozen games allied with the price drop means that we will now renew BOTH and the wife's actually looking forward to going again with Big Dave in charge.
-
no. will pick and choose. 2 games last season most unusual for me. will deffinitly be looking at most games this season depending on our start. of course if i lived local i would most likely purchase
-
renewed both home and away on Tuesday. Can't wait for the new season to start.
-
Renewed both of mine in the East Stand after Big Dave was appointed and genuinely looking forward to next season. Lets hope I feel the same after the first game........

Me and my bro will be in the Brummie again with our renewed season tickets.

When have current season ticket holders got to renew by please?
-
When have current season ticket holders got to renew by please?
6th June to keep your seat mate
-
When have current season ticket holders got to renew by please?
got till June 8th mate
-
How many we sold then ?
Everyone I know, even those that said no chance earlier in the year, have now renewed.
Anyone in the original poll who didn't say yes had a change heart and got one ? Any 'new' season ticket holders ?
-
I finally clicked order last night. Sat in the Brummie as there were no tickets available in the Smethwick.
Feel like there is a real sense of optimism around the place now.
-
Just done the deed and actually looking forward to an upcoming new season for once
Some new and different away grounds to look forward to and especially half a dozen local 'derbies'
COYB
-
I shall be getting one this season but I have a question.
There is one seat in the SME at the moment but its right on the front row. If I bought that would I be able to change to a better seat if somebody doesn't renew theirs?
If the answer is yes how will I know that somebody hasn't renewed?
Thanks for any help.
-
As you can readily change your seat on a weekly basis if a STH I can’t see it being a problem.

A couple of lads in front of me in row MM have said they probably wont renew due to night shift work commitments and too many midweek matches so it might be worth hanging on and getting in there as soon as they are released
I'm pretty sure ST holdrs can opt to move seats as soon as the renewal deadline has passed and the now seats available are published
If in doubt give the ticket office a call

As you can readily change your seat on a weekly basis if a STH I can’t see it being a problem.
Thank you also.

Renewed on Saturday.
Heard the lad in front ask “sales been good†and the bloke behind the counter replied “superb, been really busy. Possibly more than last few yearsâ€
Think there’s a bit of a buzz about not being in the Prem strangely (although I’m massively looking forward to this season, more than in any season since Clarke).
Also think the prices have really helped.
-
So, we get the chance to move seats now, but unless I'm mistaken we just have to ring up the ticket office and guess which seats may be free to move to. We really are useless sometimes, not hard to put up a map with which seats are free is it?!
-
If you go on to the Albion website, and choose tickets, season tickets, you can see what seats are free.

I'm just getting a blank screen.

Heard there where fans queuing outside the ticket office this morning for new season tickets. ;D

They'll have a long wait then as new tickets don't go on sale til next Monday 18th!!!!

Just moved by seat from the Brummie into the Smethwick. Sat a little bit closer to the away fans than I wanted (the end seat) 5 rows from the back but it will do for now. I'll see if I can move a little bit closer to the centre of the Smethwick later in the week.

I asked the chap who told me this and he said well it seems like a new season ticket moving seats. ;D

Being a sad git I have just counted the seats available to new season ticket applicants
6519 are available for purchase
I reckon we must have sold about 17000 so far
-
after not renewing when Irvine was appointed and then saying i won't go while the dinosaur is in charge (which was a bit of a lie) i've bought a season ticket this morning.

Could be 6518 available now
-
make it 6517, we bought 2
-
I don't think we'd expect to sell more than 19.5/20k ST's to be honest. Wouldn't be surprised if the figure is at about 12/13k with people waiting on transfer dealings before committing.

We don't make 23/24k tickets available to season ticket holders. Large away cup allocations would see folk with nowhere to sit. I believe we cap it somewhere between 19500/21000.

It's 15,000 so far, 1000 up on last year at the same stage.

Also think there is some sort of ruling that a certain % of your capacity has to be made available as 'non-season ticket' sales, thereby capping the number below the stadium capacity minus the away 'area' capacity

Glad to see it.
Nice to see some of our fans are not seduced by the 'Glory' of the Premier League

Anybody know how many st we've sold to date,it was going well by all accounts

Yes going along pretty well so far but will surely stall soon, unless we start recruiting a few players.

Anybody else had issues obtaining student ticket?
I’ve shown my UNiDAYS ID, the college have emailed the club directvyetvthey still say I haven’t provided suitable ID.
They want an NUS card which I don’t have (not paying £15 when UNiDAYS is free.

Anyone from last season not renewed ?

The NUS Extra Card is the ID required and that's pretty much that. They're not being unreasonable, it's just the way it is. It costs £12 for one year, £22 for two and £32 for three.
Due to his age my son has changed from a junior concession to full time student. He purchased his NUS Extra Card online today and it'll be here within seven working days. It's then a simple process to scan and email it to the club along with a small photo of yourself. Failing that just take them to the ticket office and let them sort it for you.
I had an NUS card (as a mature student) and saved shed loads of money on a variety of items ranging from clothing, trainers and restaurants etc; not just my season ticket. Up to you of course but it may be in your best interests to think again. I sent them a scan of my card each year when renewing. It was absolutely no hassle at all and I wish I was still eligible for one now.

Not exactly a huge outlay for the discount you get! Besides, you get some nifty discounts with NUS cards anyway.
Bloody students eh? ;D

UNiDAYS is an NUS app which is free. If you search it you’ll see. They have partners in exactly the same way NUS does.
I have brought trainers, clothes, Spotify, phones, food & gym memberships with it but Albion are playing hardball.

I don't need to search for UNiDAYS and see as I already know what it is thanks.
I also know club policy states you need a valid NUS card to purchase a season ticket at student rates (aged 18/18+ at the start of the season). So, and I don't mean this to be as rude as it may come across, it looks as though you're going to have to purchase an NUS card, scan it and send it to the club to receive your student discount. Alternatives. Ask to be changed to a young adult (U23) which is currently the same price, but whose rates may or may not change the following season; or ask for a refund.
I pointed out the discounts which are available in NUS format as an advantage of purchase, as a UNiDAYS ID will not guarantee you a student season ticket at this current time. Expanding the point, if you wanted to go abroad you'd need a valid passport. If you want to drive a car you need a valid driving license. These cost money. Likewise if you want a student season ticket down the Albion they currently request that you provide them with a valid NUS card, which also costs money. £12 to qualify for 26 Leagues games at a discounted rate, and just under if you take out the three year option.
The club are not playing hardball and they are not messing you about, it's a requirement of discounted student purchase (aged 18) and has been for a number of years. I'm taking it you've just turned 18? Well my son turns 18 in July and I'm miffed to miss out on the Junior rate for his ticket, but that's life. If you're over 18 and you've slipped through the net previously then well done you, just not this season apparently........
Side note:
If you're a student under 18 you've opted for the wrong season ticket category, as you should have gone for a junior ticket (U18).
-
Does anybody know how long it takes to send you the season ticket?
I ordered mine on the 19th June and it's not arrived yet.
I was wondering if I needed to chase them up about it.

I ordered mine the first day they went on sale just after the prices were announced and mine hasn't arrived either. Not worried though I'll give it another couple of weeks before I start chasing them up.
-
If you’ve renewed you aren’t sent another one, they just enable this season on your current card. If it’s a new season ticket they’ll send it to you. Try giving them a call or an email and they’ll let you know

I got my away vouchers yesterday.

Thanks chaps, I will give them a little longer before I chase them up now I know I am not the only one.

We were told our cards would come out in July, so don't worry. Perhaps you won't get one at all, at the moment that would be good news.

This is the pricing policy that should have been used in the premier league. Full house every week instead of ripping people off for £39

Some clubs will be ripping off away fans. No cap for away fans in championship.

Too true, Sheff Wed charged up to £42 but the average price was just a little more expensive than the prem. I found this from November last year on the subject.

Sorry to ask people, but if you were a season ticket holder last year and have renewed for this season, are we using the same stile card to get in with? I am sure when I renewed that the ticket office said it was.
Thanks

Yes that’s my understanding. I think they said it in a news article somewhere. We’ll all find out when we get there later today!
Edit: there it is: (http://i68.tinypic.com/6xurn9.png)

Did you change anything like the type of tickets they were? Says above in the article that they will not be replaced. Also just found an email from the ticket office answering the same question from me saying: ‘You will just need to use the card from last seasonâ€
-
I will take my receipt with me just in cash I guess then
-
Just wondering if there is the option to transfer my season ticket to another seat in the same stand?
I assume there is and I will be ringing the ticket office up later today but just wanted to know beforehand if it was possible.

There is an option to do so, but it may incur a small (and in my opinion) completely unjust admin' fee.
All of the very best and keep us posted please.

I will keep you posted but the seat I wanted to switch to has been taken up overnight, so just playing a waiting game at the moment.

Has it been taken up by someone purchasing a season ticket or just a single ticket for the next game?
May be worth asking the ticket office and they could change yours now for it to come into effect the game after next.
I changed mine about 2 seasons ago, same stand so no extra charges etc and they just printed me a new card off with the new row and seat number.

Thanks for that info Adam, might give the ticket office a call in a minute to find out.
Cheers for that.
-
Just to confirm, my style card from last season did indeed work for this season. Probably would have been better is it denied me entry altogether!

All sorted chaps, thanks for the help.
Moved my seat higher up the Smethwick, but for the Stoke game I will have to sit in a different seat has somebody has already taken it for that game.
Sending a new card out in the post along with a paper ticket for the Stoke game, no charge at all.
Very happy with that customer service.
