Fortunately 10 men of Norwich probably didn't over exhaust us however sure the Leeds game took it out of them. Wonder if we will see some rotation? Yokusulu played 180 minutes wonder if we will see chalobah? Wallace tight groin does that mean Sarmiento or swift?

I would take a point pre game.
O Albion we love you

A draw here would be ok, but they are very hit and miss so I'm sure we'll be really going for the win

I'd take a point if it means we can rest, Wallace, Kipre & Yok.

Play the full XI against Swansea then rest them for the FA cup game next Sunday. Gives them nearly 2 weeks rest until Blackburn and they have earnt it.

All the backup players will benefit from 90 mins under their belt against Aldershot as many players don't get game time under CC so the cup will be perfect for them to shake off the rust and hopefully show CC what they can do.

Our record at Swansea is terrible - some of our worst performances, even under the likes of Roy Hodgson, have been there.

I even remember sitting at the old Vetch in the 1980s watching Ron Wylie’s team get comprehensively turned over - and it’s been little better in the 40 years since.

Our New Year’s Day record is bad too - we haven’t won any of the last 11, and have lost more NYD games than any other Championship team.

So…..what a great day to change the record! I’m a bit worried about fatigue, but Swansea are nothing special and Corberan is doing a marvellous job.

Hoping for a positive start to 2024. 🤞🤞🤞

From our last four visits to Swansea we have two defeats, one draw and a win which was in 2018. I was there for three of them. A defeat a draw and a win. Complete set.

The draw was March 7th 2020, our final away day before the first lock down. The game itself was a dire nil nil borathon, our only real chance of the game falling to Jake Livermore towards the end. He launched it. I believe the ball may still be in orbit.

Other memories of the day were the murky weather, the surreal atmosphere, seeing faces I hadn't seen for a while and spending company with good people. And the handshakes. And the hugs. Lots of hugs.

It was almost as though we knew we wouldn't be seeing each other again for quite some time. A band of brothers. Baggie Brothers. Sadly I can't make this game but the memories of that away day draw will be front and centre tomorrow.

Got to agree with Gaz…..play a full team and rest most of them for the Aldershot FA Cup game.
With Leeds at home to Blouse they should get an easy three points so we don’t want the points gap between us and Leeds getting bigger.
I suspect Dike may feature for a few minutes late on at Swansea and if by some miracle he avoids injury, see him starting in the Cup game.

I was at that match too Dan, and agree it was an awful game. My lasting memory of the day was Livermore giving Periera a right rollocking because Jake had broken up a Swansea attack and exposed them on the right and Periera just stood watching and never moved to take advantage. Periera was substituted just after and left the field , walked around in front of us with his sulky face on .
After the game ended  and we were getting back on the coaches, we noticed that he was stood on his own with his bag outside the players entrance. Ours was the last coach to leave about 1/2 hour later and he was still standing there waiting for the team coach to pull round the corner and ignoring supporters waving to him.

Ordered tickets pretty late on so they’re being sent down on the coach.

Anybody on the coaches know what time you’re due to arrive?

The official coaches are due to leave the Hawthorns at 10:30hrs. Based on today's traffic the journey down should take roughly 2hrs and 29 minutes (according to Google Maps). So around about 13:00hrs.

Quite correct , think the cut off is 19 games so for 10 bookings it maybe around 38 games when the next amnesty kicks in

A difficult game today, and I think the team that wins will be the one that is mentally prepared for this Christmas/New year's schedule. As for us, coming after Friday night's sensational win against one of top teams it's a bit like "after the Lord Mares show" but I'm sure Carlos would have prepared them for this trip to a wet and cold South Wales. Wallace out so Tom Fellows makes his first appearance as Saramiento  has gone back to Brighton, Bartley in for Ajayi, Higgins on the Bench.
