Calling Big Sam a crook may raise a few eyebrows. Surely theres a reason for that comment.

Unfortunately not one that be discussed on this forum without any hard evidence to back it up.

Apparantly 'King' Kenny is going to be next out of the door with Martinez rumoured as the replacement.
Did you know we won the European Cup?

Dont think Martinez would be the 'name' that the Kop fans THINK they deserve.

They need to realise there no longer a driven force and there nothing more than a average mid table team now.

I feel the opposite, I wanted him to continue liverpool's downfall. Likely they will get martinez or someone capable now.

No real surprise there I guess.

The problem is, it's another managerial position to fill.  Are we sliding down the list of preference for some prospective managers.

How ironic. Roy gets the England job and the man the scrotums were clambering for has just been sacked, I can imagine Roy's sat somewhere in Soho with a cigar and a bottle of whiskey chuckling to him self.

Sign on Sign on, with a pen in your hand, and you'll never work again.....

Cheerio Dogleash. The league will be much better without you and your excuses. Congratulations on wasting millions and millions on utter junk.

It'll be announced that he hasn't been 'sacked', instead he'll be given some sort of 'ambassador' role or some sort of mickey mouse job 'upstairs' that sounds important but really isn't - that'll appease the Liverpool fans a little bit whilst making the right footballing decision at the same time.

Wigan has given Martinez permission to speak to Liverpool.

My guess that takes Martinez out of the equation, even if it was a long shot he would have come to us.

Just due diligence, living on Merseyside I can tell you they would be much less than impressed if Roberto Martinez got the job.

Much bigger club than people realise.  Champions of Europe just 7 years ago... 3 bad seasons does not fall a giant... Just ask Manchester United.

Yeah, early reactions from pool fans doesn't seem overwhelmingly positive, then again that job is a bit of a poisoned chalise. The fans think they are the greatest club in the universe but to get back on track they have to attract genuine Champions league quality players and that simply won't be easy. Especially with ManCity storming the league and United still a power house. Then we have Chelsea and Arsenal. All those clubs will get to pick players before Liverpool.

Part of me wonders if Liverpool interviewing him might actually increase our chances of getting him. One things certain, this summer is going to see a lot of change in the premier league.

The situation at Liverpool is quite comical really - particularly after all the fuss that was made in appointing "King Kenneth"!

J W Henry will be aware that he needs to make the right managerial decision now - they cannot even change a badge without some group claiming justice and respect for their tragic loss in 1989- will they ever be allowed to rest in peace?

The Liverpool fans have completely over-rated their club and it's harmed the club. There's no shame in having history or a glorious past, but their expectations are ridiculous.

I've no sympathy for Spurs.  There was a while where they were in with an outside chance of challenging for the title, yet they clearly shored up (the Liverpool game away springs to mind), purposely didn't push the boat out, and were more interested in just securing qualifying (whilst they sat in a comfy points position).

Winning things should be rewarded, not finishing 4th.

Agreed. Seriously what manager would want that job now after the Hodgson and Dalglish fiascos, with a sea of delusional fans trying to pull strings from the stands. Their star is a petulant racist spoiled rotten by King Kenny, their leader, icon and midfield general is declining due to age and the squad is overloaded with mid table 'talent'.

Did anyone hear Lampard before the match talking about AVB "RDM plays me, unlike the other guy", pretty disgraceful.

Pretty much confirms the senior players were responsible for his sacking.

RDM just won the biggest prize in club football dude, guys like Lampard helped seal the deal.  They took out Barca home and away and Munich on their own patch in the final: perhaps not the best night to have a go at their footballing achievements.
