This is only an appetiser by the sounds of it, Friday and Saturday will rock the Premier League to it's core.

The collateral damage could be huge, really hope we're not mentioned.

And article number three on Cellino:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/28/leeds-united-owner-massimo-cellino-suggested-ways-of-getting-round-player-purchase-rules/

The FA and football league have a lot to answer for - how was this man allowed to pass a fit and proper persons test?

Why Friday and Saturday?

Tonights revelations are Thursday's papers and the Sunday Telegraph is a separate entity, so tomorrow and Friday night will be the stuff they've got on the Premier League.

QPR issue a statement supporting Hasselbaink who releases a statement claiming he has done nothing wrong.

Leeds currently have their transfer for Adryan being investigated for potentially breaking third party rules. They're also awaiting a verdict in regards to Ross McCormack and player bungs.

JFH must surely be a multi millionaire after his playing career. What's he want with £55k?

Don't see how we could be...isn't it only clubs who actually want to sign players? Lol

Its an inbred culture in football.
Its all greed.
Remember Villa got relegated, as a cost saving exercise what did the club do? Got rid of catering and match day staff who were all earning minimum wage.
If the players had anything about them they could have stepped forward and said hang on a bit don't get rid of so and so keep them on and take one of my weekly wages to compensate.
I'm sure that the £7.00 the catering staff get means just as much to some of them as the £50k a week the players get

It would be wonderful if that did happen, but I have a few friends who are quite well off financially and they are very tight with their money. It seems the more money rich people have got the more they want.

Problem is, we don't know a fraction of what goes on behind the scenes in football, and probably will never know due to so much legal protection on those within the game. We just listen to media reports whilst the presenters effectively have a 'gun to their head' so to speak in order to avoid highlighting the real issue, the corruption. The rise of the south and far eastern Asian betting industries, owners ( including ours), that dreadfully worries me. We all watched the programme on the match fixing cartels in the far east a few years back, and the literature published on it... But I deviate, the premier league is so legally protected that everything seems rosey whenever we read articles on it, when we know its far from the case. The likes of cellino being caught out is no surprises, but I really really hope this becomes a well publicized issue now, and shows what a cash show modern football really is. I won't hold my breath.

Seems to me that had it been genuine and he was being paid by this group to act for them and potentially sign their players to QPR there is a clear conflict of interest, they can claim he's done nothing wrong all they like but it reflects very badly on him. Problem is even if he's technically not done anything wrong these things will stick with him now and I don't see how he can be fully trusted.

I do smile to myself when these idiots claim "i have broken no laws". I suspect HMRC will take a rather different view of brown envelopes, bank transfers.

I also suspect that HMRC will be the route government take to "influence" the FA / premier league to put there house in order once and for all.
the road to the summit has dips, keep the faith when navigating those dips !!

I havent seen the actual words or video but my understanding is that JFH is negotiating a fee for providing a service(after dinner speech/ consultancy) which may well show up all that is wrong in the modern game but does it break any rules other than moral ones ?

There's been some strange old transfers at Chelsea over the last few seasons.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Michael Emenalo's name pop up at some point, or even that of Damien Comolli to mention just two.

Honestly cannot see this kind of thing being exclusive to old school managers and their assistants.

Just hoping Dan Ashworth had no part in anything during his time with us  :-X .

To be fair to him, it's not just football. At my place of work I've seen a list of potential speakers with the name of a well known and very highly regarded Olympic athlete on there at £30k a pop.

Much wants more.
