FA Cup 3rd round - Crystal Palace (H)

Surprised there's no thread about this, the draw is after the Tamworth match on ITV. We're number 41, Villa 3, Blues 5 and Wolves...erm...  ;D

Villa away would do nicely.

There was one but seems to have been merged into the main cup thread in general sports.

I'm hoping for either cheap home game or an away to somewhere new

Brighton's new ground looks pretty decent, wouldn't mind an away tie there.

Winnable home time, should win this. I've heard that before.

Anyway, as mentioned, if we are interested then we should at least get through to the 4th round this year.

What world you lot live in...letting in two goals a game, Palace have a manager who has got them winning games (Stoke Tactics). How on earth can people say well were into the forth round.

JP is glad its at home because its more money into his little earner. (Old Trafford away is i know cause of the 50/50 on ticket sales)

As my dad says its not a football club it a business, as long as there making money for their back pockets they are not botherd what happens.

Is it worth pointing out that the last time we won an FA cup game against premier league opposition was January 2002? Against Leicester City....

Spanning that time:

Fulham (h) 0-1
Spurs (h) 1-1
Spurs (a) 1-3
Middlesbrough (a) 2-2
Middlesbrough (h) 1-1 (lost on pens)
Portsmouth (n) 0-1
Norwich (h) 1-2
QPR (a) 1-1
QPR (h) 0-1

A run spanning 9 games, the last two losses, Norwich and QPR particularly bad ones.

I'd love to say that this is a very winnable home draw and we should proceed and maybe have a decent cup run.

However I've thought that so many times over the last decade or so that I'm past caring, we're not going to win the damn thing because the players never seem to care enough regardless of the team we put out.

But, I shall probably go as I support the team through thick and thin and live in the hope that one day the club and players might actually give a toss and try to give us fans something to cheer and get excited about.

Not the best tie but then again it could have been worse. They will be focusing more on staying up, hopefully something which we will be doing less off. I hope we really good for it and we reduced prices for this game get a good crowd in.

Another boring tie. I wanted an away day somewhere - preferably Kidderminster.

I suppose I'm now going to have to give up my excellent seat in the Smethwick for some rubbish view in an obscure corner of the ground for a game with a rubbish atmosphere due to a tiny crowd, no noisy Smethwick end and those bloody raucus Palace ultras giving it large all game!!!
Give me an away cup tie every time

Can see a low crowd for this one.  The thought of paying extra to see Pulis-ball is not appealing.

Adult prices should be no more than £10 and kids for a quid. Anything more than this and we'll struggle for 10k.

I'm not sure if there is a minimum price a team can charge set by the FA, also both teams have to agree.
