A few positives:
Derby drew at home, Boro and Bristol City both lost at home therefore we actually consolidated our play off position.
We created more chances than of late. On another day we could have won 4-3.

Sorry, that's all I can come up with but at least it's something.

No way we can sack Moore now, that would be ridiculous, we have to see this season out. We ARE still in contention for promotion, to change now would be madness.

Have to start questioning the manager now, he's out of ideas at home. We should have lost today. Lucky deflection to take lead but glaringly obvious that Ipswich would score.
Bart!ey gets a !ot of stick but Dawson is an absolutely awful defender. Livermore consistently rubbish. Can't defend Moore after that but nor can anyone come on here and claim that this is the best squad in the league.
Need to hang on for play offs and hope for a bit of luck.

433 again. Livermore again. Tosin rb again. Gayle lw again.
At least we have Phillips back in the middle.
Nowhere to hide if we lose this but think we'll have enough.
What is it with our injuries though? Norwich and Sheff Utd seem to be able to pick pretty much the same side every week.

Disagree, automatic has to be the aim, while it's still possible.
Yep, has to be. Back to winning ways tomorrow and those above slip up and it's game on.
3-0

do you really think he will take responsibility for his kids???
Not of his own volition no, but hopefully it won't be his choice and he'll get stripped bare by the CSA or whatever it's equivalent is these days.

His career will be finished (what's left of it)  in a few years time, his hangers on will disappear and he'll be left, fat and bald, with no job and a whole load of kids to feed.
Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

Phillips likely to be back for Saturday but not Gibbs. Has to be Townsend at LB for me.

Or 3 at the back.
Moore has said that he will consider changing the system so think this is what we'll see.

                 Johnstone

          Tosin Hegazi Dawson

Holgate Barry Phillips Harper Murphy

             Rodriguez Gayle

May be some hairy moments at the back but potentially devastating going forward and will certainly suit Dwight.

I would imagine he is in a bit of a whirlwind to be honest. He's gone from being relatively unknown to playing at the top end of the Championship and getting rave reviews. I would bet his agent is doing cartwheels.
Modern day football unfortunately, money talks.
I love my job but, if someone offered to double / treble my salary, my head would get a bit of a wobble.
Whatever will be will be but I won't be critical of the lad, it's the system that puts us in this position, just hope he can keep his composure and finish the season with a flourish.

The Tosin decision was nothing short of abysmal. but of course mate, no one really performed. but if its not working, then react to that and make a decision to change it. we were 2-0 down at half time and possibly the worst first half performance of the season. he didnt even make a change when really it should he have been a double substitution. get the 3rd goal and make a game of it. instead he waits and waits and 3-0, game over.

its like people who dont rate DM are getting slated for giving their opinion on that. i always back the team and get behind them and will do until the last game. I would never boo during a game or slag players off, i just dont rate DM, and think he will cost us getting into the top 2. i hope im wrong but believe i will be proved right.

lets just see..
I'm not slating you mate, I actually agree with you regarding the lack of subs, Tosin at LB and even Gayle at LW but I think the negatives are over-played sometimes, and lumped solely at DM's door, whereby he gets little credit for the positives.
I just try and add balance by accentuating the positives.

My nightmare would be playing Boro in the play-offs. Four defeats to that cap-wearing **** in a season, and another season (at least) in the Championship?  :'(
Imagine beating them though. Remember last year against Villa when they didn't have a shot on target.
We shouldn't fear that coward.
I hope we get them and stuff them!

im a realist mate. yes its not impossible but realistically we are not going to make automatic in my opinion. thats not being doom and gloom or slagging anybody off. thats my opinion and im fully entitled to that. thats an opinion decided by a number of things such as the managers in game management, tactics, team form, recent results, future fixtures etc etc etc.

i felt that DM has brought the feel good factor back to my club and has done an okay job in my opinion. He is under par by around 6-9 points which at this stage of the season is a huge amount. i keep repeating myself, but i feel that taking into account the strength of our squad and the strength of the opposition teams we should be finishing in a top 2 place this season. If we do not  go up automatic or via the play offs then DM has to go.

if we get in the top 2 it will be a huge surprise and i will now see it as a bonus as im realistic, and realistically with 11 games to go we need to win around 9 of them, judging by our form and average points total over the previous 35 games, that tells you it is highly unlikely. Of course we still have a chance in the play offs and hopefully can get over the line.

At the start of the season i wouldnt say i was happy with the appointment and didnt think he was a good enough manager to get us in the automatic places. after 35 games and especially after the last 2 games that prediction/opinion is starting to look likely. i will be there saturday and at Brentford & Millwall away and get right behind the team as i always do. if you still feel there is a realistic chance to get in that top 2 then good for you.

How anybody can defend him after the Leeds game just baffles me. playing a right footed centre half at left back? and continuing to play the best striker in the league out wide left?

its like the feeling amongst some is dont worry, onto the next game ! i admire the positive attitude but unfortunately we are running out of games and it is imperative we are in the premier league next season and is becoming more and more difficult with him making the same mistakes each and every game.
The Tosin at LB was baffling, but was enforced by a late injury to Gibbs, yes Townsend or Brunt could have come in but who knows what their match fitness is like.
As for Gayle at LW, he had played there for most of our successful away run, so think it's a stretch to blame the defeat on that.
The whole team was poor against Leeds so the players have to share some of the blame.

Considering im a HSTH and been to 9 away games id say i do back my team and get behind them on a regular basis.
I think DM is not good enough, thats my opinion and as the season has progressed i believe my opinion is starting to look true. but i never boo or slag the team off at a game and  never would.

My continued support will be with DM and the team until the last game of the season. IF promotion is not achieved then DM has to go, simple as that really.
What if we win the league? Will he still be deemed not good enough.
I think that's the point, I and a few others are making, in that it's not over yet and it is quite realistic that we could still go up, so why the doom and gloom?
It's a bit like carrying out a post-mortem on a live body at the minute.

I see the 'super computer' has us finishing in 4th place, that will give us a two legged semi against Boro and a potential final against Sheff Utd or Bristol City.

https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/super-computer-predicted-west-brom-15922000

Wouldn't relish any of those TBH
We currently have the best away record in the league so should fear no-one over 2 legs and the final against any of those 2 would be a fantastic occasion and, in my opinion, our biggest game for 30 years.
We should be relishing this, after all the, largely meaningless, mind-numbing, non-entity football we've watched over recent years.
Imagine the passion, anticipation, fear, excitement, euphoria that these games can bring, isn't that what football, or, more importantly, being a football supporter, is all about?

Whatever anybody's thoughts are regarding performances/under performances, wouldn't it be great if everyone just got behind Darren Moore and the Albion between now and the end of the season? What a refreshing change that would make from the sometimes informed opinions and more often blind hysteria and child like rantings more commonly found on football forums.

I know everyone's hurting after the Leeds result but come on, we need to pick ourselves up. The very fact that it would take a disaster for us not to make the play offs shows what a good season we've had. Add to this the fact that, apart from Boro, we have already beaten the other teams we are likely to face.
We are still in this, right up to the wire, let's not let the doom and gloom derail us now, let's have some positivity for one final push.

If we sensed for one second that the players or coaches were giving up, we would be incensed, yet we do it ourselves?

Even if you believe automatic is out of reach, which I don't, just let yourself imagine you and 50,000 fellow Baggies clinching promotion at Wembley! If that doesn't get your senses tingling, nothing will, it's what being a football supporter is all about, surely??
Don't give up.

I'm not sure I can give a definitive answer on that one. There are too many variables, such as the role they are being asked to play by the manager. If they are played in their 'preferred' position and are ineffectual then I will say it as it is, I have done all along, I criticised the first couple of games of Murphy as he took a while to get going.

You would say in the past few games that Dwight Gayle has been awful, but will I criticise him for that? No. It is not his fault he is being asked to play as a left winger.
This is the biggest failing for me and the reason we need a change in formation. The problem with Gayle is, and it probably explains why despite his immense talent, he's never really hit the heights in the Prem, is that he is limited to styles of play that suits him. He's not a target man, so doesn't suit the lone striker role, nor is he a winger so really needs to play in a 2 up top.
I'd go back to 352 on Saturday. Gayle and Rodgriguez could have a field day against what is, let's face it, the worst team in the division and it could instil some much needed confidence for the run-in.

Teams below us winning their games in hand will give us just a 3 point cushion from 7th. Play-offs are certainly not a foregone conclusion.
Last night was painful yes, but perspective still needed. We had won 7 from 8 away games prior to that. I still think we will comfortably finish top 6.
Don't think we'll go up though as the players don't seem to have the bottle any more and the manager is struggling to find consistently without player of the season Harvey Barnes.

2845
I'd be happy to stay down and rebuild. Surely the much promoted " best squad" myth  was well and truly put to bed last night. Yes Moore got it wrong but the quality of our passing, movement and intensity has to fall at the feet of these wonderful players.
They may be the most well known but the best they ain't! Get rid of Livermore, Rodriguez, Dawson, Johnstone, Barry, Morrison, Brunt, Hrk, they are all poor, even at this level. Bring in some young hungry players whilst bringing through our own.

I am not a Johnstone fan. Most definitely not!
I think that Bond is just as good, if not better .
But tonight and also against Sheffield, he wasn't at fault. The defence was disorganised because of how they were set up and ordered by management.
Didn't say he was at fault but he was rubbish. Have his feet ever left the ground? First goal was class but his dive was comical.

The one on the official twitter he goes on (yet again) about picking the bones out of it. He offers no deep insight into what went wrong, because he doesn't know. His tactics are school boy and he lacks a deep understanding of the game.

We do have the best squad in the league,
but they are being mismanaged week in week out.

I actually regret buying my Ipswich ticket now. They're bottom, we're going to get battered.
You cannot seriously claim that you have just watched the best squad in the league!!! Not in green and yellow anyway. Stevie Wonder couldn't coach the best team in the league to play that bad.

What is there to add to all the disgusted disappointed comments regarding lack of pace and lack of ideas.? What about the lack of physicality to break free of all the holding back when our lot tried to run with the ball. Played like a babbies team we need fighters to get a hold in these sort of games, both Sheffield and Leeds have that grittiness that gets a result when you need it, Albion do not. Promotion for any of the teams in the mix at the moment will be but a short lived experience without the spending of mega mega bucks and a lot of luck. Personally I am not sure it is an experience I particularly want again at this time, so as it looks at the moment and we do miss out I will not be that bothered. But what does make me mad is these sorts of performance where so much is wrong and so many of the problems are the same as they have always been. This team is not developing it is going backwards. We are getting beaten very easily and our experienced players are most often the ones not doing what they ought to be capable of. It is getting to the time when I think more of our own young players should be allowed to show if they might be good enough for our future. Perhaps not en masses but when a first team regular is out injured why not replace him with the one who plays the same position and not shoehorn in somebody from the squad who is a regular in another position and creates an imbalance. If performances show lack of development then move them on.
Nail on head. It's the "best squad in the league," that is letting us down. Johnstone, Dawson,, Holgate, Rodriguez, Barry and Gayle were all embarrassing tonight and it I never see Livermore in an Albion shirt again it will be too soon.

See us out till the end of the season, blend some youth in and get Harper signed up.

The board have got 4 months to plan our next manager
Harper was embarrassing today, gave the ball away numerous times and never tracked back just shrugged his shoulders and felt sorry for himself. Even so he was the best of our midfieldrers . Livermore is pinching a living and to think that he has more England caps than Bomber and Cyrille gives me indegestion.
