It sounds like the Queen is in a bad way. Under doctor supervision and all her children have gone.

I'm not a royalist at all, but as far as I'm concerned the Queen has always acted in a respectful and dignified way. As you'd expect, some of the rubbish on twitter is disgusting

West Bromwich Albion FC / Next 6 games
« on: August 31, 2021, 09:59:43 PM »
With the window closing and an international break, I’m interested how people think we will do in the next 6 fixtures before thre next break.

We play:

Millwall (h)
Derby (h)
Preston (a)
QPR (h)
Cardiff (a)
Stoke (a)

I’m think 11 points which would be another decent return. We play 6 matches in under a month again  and I think we will lose to either Cardiff or Stoke as like Peterborough I think we will put in at least really poor performance after a run of intense games. Couple of draws thrown in too.

On the flip side I think we could be the first side that hammers Derby. We have a chance over the next 3 to put ourselves in a great position though that gives us a bit of breathing room

General Football & Sports / Heading in training
« on: July 28, 2021, 11:38:47 AM »
Moving forwards the recommendation is that a maximum of 10 higher-force headers are carried out in any training week. These are typically headers following a long pass (more than 35m) or from crosses, corners and free-kicks.

It seems quite restrictive to me for certain positions. I wonder how many times an average centre half would head a ball in training at present per week.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Get Sean a season ticket
« on: January 21, 2020, 08:01:47 PM »
Surprised I’ve not seen anything on here yet, sorry if I’ve missed it and there is a thread.

A lad called Snarka won tickets for the match last night. As he has a season ticket he donated to a homeless West Brom fan, who had never made a game. Bloke looks like he had a great time (photos clearly taken before kick off).

Since the story broke on Twitter Horsfield has got involved and is trying to help get him accomodation. There is also a fund raiser for a season ticket and any spare money will go to clothes, necessities etc

This isn’t supposed to become a debate about the cause, I know people value different things, but I thoughts it’s a great story that might just change one persons life.

I’ll be making a small contribution.

General Football & Sports / The Footballers Football Show

Anybody watching.

Finding this really interesting to be honest! Great to hear perspectives that you don't usually hear. Not sure if its the first programme but I hope there are more.

Basically for anyone not watching they have Brian Mcdermott, The Peterborough chairman and an agent discussing various things in football.
