Will be interesting to see if Maja starts, this is the last opportunity to get some minutes into his legs.

In a must not lose game I don’t think the manager will be thinking about giving Maja minutes - that ship’s sailed for the season I’d say.

It's a risk but he is the profile of striker that we have that probably best suits when we will have the majority of the ball  so, fitness aside, he might be the best fit for the game.

Good point. I would strongly consider this. If he’s now fit enough which is the unknown.

Maja will not get fitter by NOT playing.

He still has to be ready to play though. Let's hope he is. I would welcome his inclusion.

Do you mean mentally? Might be a thing after being assaulted twice. We know he's medically fit, he's been available for selection for a while now.

All I know is, certainly up to last week, he was not deemed physically ready to start a game. It has been a long absence for him.

When we were on our unbeaten run we had Johnston and Fellows on either wing. They created chances and positivity. This is something we now seem to be lacking. I would have both playing and Diangana, players that can take on people and create something. Preston may well decide to play all 11 behind the ball to frustrate or could decide that attack is the best form of defence with nothing to play for.

If we can’t draw or beat Preston and Hull win then they deserve it - it’s in our hands

Very true but he is medically fit and we cannot just leave him out if we hope to use him in the play offs or he will be re-rusted ( if there is such a word!)

If we can't avoid losing to Preston at home, when they've got nothing to play for and are on a bad run of form, then we don't deserve the playoffs. Which, after an entire season in the 3-6th bracket, would be a travesty.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

I hope we start something like this:

Palmer, Furlong, Kipre, Bartley, Townsend (urgh), Mowatt, Yokuslu, Fellows, Diangana, Johnstone, BTA (if Maja is ready then him).

I feel we will see us start with Wallace though. I mainly hope we see that midfield though.

There’s also of course Swift who could easily start and have one of his brilliant games. I only saw a bit of the Sheff W game - as in about 20 mins a bit before and after they went 1-0 up but Diangana was looking good in that time.

I'd suggest treating the game as a cup final, but you know what usually happens in those big games. If we dont get an early goal, I fear the nerves from the crowd could swamp the players.

I think we have to go 2 upfront.so Asante and Maja with Johnstone and Wallace providing the bullets .
So a 3-2-3-2 formation with Swift as a 10.
Got to go for it Carlos.

It's a pity we can't play Barnsley on Saturday really. Still, they finished 6th in League One and are in the Playoffs. In the unlikely event they get past Bolton and all goes well for them at Wembley and we stay down there's always next season to look forward to  ;D .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

that’s the team I would go with no room for Wallace or Phillips who are second and third choice wingers in my book.

I know people don't rate him in the Brummie but Swift has to play for me.
