At the time, the West Ham bid for Dorrans was pretty awful and in true West Ham style it was well below his value; he'd just had his first full season in the Championship aged 22 and got something like 18 goals and 22 assists which was magnificent. Without him we may have not got promoted as he was easily our most creative player.
Since then he wasn't great but was ok for the Premier League. In hindsight I'd have rather held on to him for 3+ seasons and sell him for 1.5 million less which was a decent move from us.
