I'd be very shocked if they signed him not to score goals to keep them up...

What a poor result form them today?!

Villa have got some big six pointers coming up then finish off with Arsenal and Liverpool.

Hopefully we can take 3 pts off then when they visit us.

Awful today apparently. Taking great pride in seeing them struggle. I think they are starting to realise what mess they are in. Still can't see them going down but I will be dancing in the streets if they did.

Tough times for the manager, a few seasons of over achieving and now they are expecting just to turn up and turn teams over.

I thought they would be ok but this result has changed my mind, they are going to be right in the mix.

Before we look too much into it, their back four was seriously short today

Baker, Cuellar, Herd, Walker - Not really the best back four they have.

Baker who was then terrorised was substituted after half hour..

petrov, bent, young ,agbonlowotsit...should they not be good enough ?
if they had "real"support , if they liked and played for the club/manager , if they werent arrogant enough to assume they wont go down..

with the whole mess with dunne and collins does it means they wont play for the rest of the season?, if not the defence they put out today just isn't good enough and they really could be going down, YES!!!.

They really are in trouble, speaking to some Villa fans tonight and they are really fearing the worst. Houllier has fallen out with a number of their senior players and the fans hate him. I cant see them going down but ive said it for ages now, But they dont seem to be moving up the table and they are running out of time with a number of the teams down the bottom picking up form (West Ham, Us, Wolves and possibly Wigan aswell)

Villa have got mainly teams around them. They still have to play us away, west ham away, Arsenal away, Everton away and still got newcastle, Wigan, Stoke and pool at home.

Arsenal and pool being there last matches.

I'm starting to think they could be dragged into it.

They are the team who are showing no form what so ever.

Villa are in a serious mess, every so often a side goes down no one is expecting to both them and Blackburn are those sides, others below are going on little runs and they cant buy a point.

The Villa fans were also getting on the back of Bent yesterday

Their attitude stinks and is only based on somthing that happened 30 years ago and having a big ground built to stage semi finals.

They deserve relegation simply for thinking its inconsievable, just like Cloughs last Forest team did and just like Newcastle did.

And guess what, Lerner is no mug and will set the budget to reflect the league they are in.

Just going by what the media are reporting, Villa fans are discontented and anxious with manager Houlier.

This could bode well for us with the run in, with Roy doing a good sound job in charge of the Albion making us hard to beat and picking up an excellent home point against Arsenal today!!

Well done Roy! well done all the baggie boys today! 8)

Keep it up lads!!! boing boing

I don't understand why so many are convinced they won't go down? No team is too good for the drop. They will be down there and our match against them will be a relegation 6 pointer.

I think they're in trouble, they've got a negative atmosphere around them which it seems goes right into the dressing room.

Villa will go down along with Wigan and Blackpool.Villa have flare players and not enough bottlers that are need for a battle.Has Ashley Young taken his gloves off yet.
I bet Sundeland are laughing their socks off hence Bent
