Man City 5 Tottenham 0. City haven't been at their best but yeah are five nil up. When Kompany comes back in to the side and their away form picks up they will be some force to reckon with.

The other way to look at it is we are 2 points from 10th.  Just 1 position below Man City in 9th. On a similar level to Newcastle and Swansea. Either way, probably around where we should hope to be in this league. I'm not saying you haven't got a point about being close to a relegation battle. However, in this league you are never far from the potential of a relegation battle if you perform badly for 3 - 4 games. At the same time a club like ours isn't expected to be just 1 place of Man City in the league after 11 games.

The future's bright but not guaranteed.

definitely opening up into 2 halves the table now, keeping our win tomorrow will mean we are top of the 'bottom half' and still within catching distance of the toon, spurs etc.

Man United throwing away points again in injury time. Those four points dropped against Southampton and Cardiff will be really costly. Without Robin Van Persie Vidic and one or two others they do look pretty average. A great point for Cardiff, I think they will be fine this season. Wayne Rooney should have defiantly been sent off.

Big wins for Norwich and West Ham Yesterday. Villa and Sunderland was very much a bore draw. Arsenal keep in winning I'm starting to feel that they have a chance on winning the title this season. Spurs v Man Utd I think Spurs will get a result today. I also think wins for Liverpool and Man City, and Chelsea just to edge out Southampton.

Seems that Hull City's owner is going to throw his toys out of his pram
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/exclusive-hull-owner-threatens-to-sell-club-if-fans-refuse-to-accept-tigers-name-8975193.html

He seems to be exactly the type of owner who is bad for football clubs. He has been trying to bully the local council here to sell him the KC stadium by saying if they don't he will build a new stadium in the East Riding (about 15 miles from Hull itself), now it's a name change.

City fans that I know are divided by him, some think the name change is a good idea as the owner has a lot of business contacts in Asia. Tigers are considered to be the King of the animals in Asian culture and represent power and energy so the name change could open the Asian market up for them.

Those against cite history and tradition and also have a sense of "what next".

Getting quite tight at the bottom, 5 points clear of the relegation zone. We could do with a couple of wins on the bounce, look at Newcastle for example.

Martin Jol has been sacked.

Rene Meulensteen to take charge of first team affairs. Good luck to him, be interesting to see how he does given he is very highly rated as a coach.

Chelsea 3-1 winners. Man City beat Swansea 3-0. Stoke play Cardiff mid week. Crystal Palace play West Ham. Too real big games.

A great win for Hull. I think their home form will keep them up this season. Only lost once at home all season.

Quite right Liam his comment about the fans who sing "city til i die" can go and die soon was totally disgusting. sadly the great win over Liverpool will have glossed over that for some of the fans...maybe only until they get hammered by Arsenal on Wednesday (hopefully)

I think Palace will stay up,Pulis knows how to get wins even if the style of play suffers, but am sure Palace fans won't mind. They are only 5 points behind us. Next few games for us are crucial.

A great win for Palace and seven points from their last four games and three clean sheets. I think with Pulis coming in they do now have a good chance of staying up. Hoping for Arsenal, Southampton, Cardiff and Everton to win tonight.

Aston Villa were poor today they really did miss Ron Vlaar at the back, Christian Benteke looked poor again today. A great point for Everton at arsenal to go to Man Utd and Arsenal in the space of four days and pick up four points is a fantastic.

Liverpool the big winners at the top this weekend. The bottom concertina-ing up nicely. For what it's worth they gave the relegation odds on talksport. 8 teams were named and we weren't one of them. Palace still bookies favourites.

It's looking pretty tasty at both ends, we've had a few easy seasons, now WBA could be involved in the battle or be living on the cusp of it just a couple of defeats away at all times, at least it'll be more interesting?! The top is shaping up nicely, could we actually see a battle between Arsenal/Liverpool/Man City, it's nice to see a change happening

Man City 5 Arsenal 2. City look invincible at home and are on an excellent run. However Arsenal are still three points clear at the top. I really hope that Sunderland, Southampton and Hull can get wins today.

Looking forward to seeing the highlights of that game. Six each against Spurs and Arsenal, four against Man Utd three against Everton. You would back Man City to stay unbeaten at home all season.
