Wow, Cardiff up 3-1 against Man City. Destroyed by set pieces.

Corners into the six-yard box. Quality deliveries but to me the keeper has to get a hand (or two) to those.

Chelsea starting with Torres and Lukaku on the bench and Ba not even in the 18. Is Mouriniho making a point to Abramovich?

Man Utd v Chelsea wasn't a great game last night, a point was rightly deserved. I think Chelsea would be more happier than United though. Lukaku didn't get any game time last night.

Was thinking 0-0 for yesterdays game and still it was worse than I expected.

If only I had a bet on it I could have gone to the game tonight  >:(

Lukaku should have started last night for me.

The PL has been poor so far this season.

With 27 games played, there have only been 54 goals. Average of 2 goals per game.  ::)

Sunderland looked really, really poor. Wickham is a giant multimillion pound baby, a million miles away from PL quality. Fletcher was much better when he came on.

If these two teams survive this season they will be very lucky indeed, or today's showing didn't reflect their potential.

Sunderland look very poor indeed. I dont see Di Canio been there much longer really they have had three very winnable games so far and only taken one point. Johnson and Fletcher is there best chance of staying up this season as I dont see the other players bringing much to them. The match could have gone either way if Sunderland hadn't had O Shea sent off. Big win for Palace these are the types of games you have to win.

Got question marks over Di Canio - also a very refreshing interview after the game - quite rightly criticisng John O'Shea and Ji. O'Shea for his ridiculous mistake (the first of many according to Sunderland fans) and Ji for his complete lack of effort to get himself a goal, so much he ducked from the ball.

This was always going to be a tough job for him removing some of the over-rated, average junk built up by Bruce and O'Neill.

A lot of Man Utd fans getting concerned after Yesterdays result. One difference that I have seen is that United dont seem as attacking as they were under Ferguson. David Moyes does come across slightly more defensive minded. I think that they need to spend some big money in the next few hours as with the players that Chelsea and Man City have brought in, I do feel it would be one of those two who will win it this season.

Can see Yanited outside the top 5 this year the way they are going, a long term injury to Van Persie could see them struggling for top 8.

I think struggle to make the top 8 is a barmy shout jacko - there is no way a side who won the league last year will drop below the likes of Swansea, Southampton, Everton or Cardiff.

You may however have a shout there about the top 4 or 5. Man City and Chelsea look stronger than last year while Man Utd maybe look weaker and without Alex Fergsuon. Then you have Tottenham who have made som incredible signings and well as Arsenal who, although have had a bad summer, do still have Wenger and now one of the worlds best footballers in Mesut Ozil.

That alone could see them out of the top 4, however they then have a rejuvenated Liverpool to contend with who still have Suarez and Agger, and now have the likes if Coutinho, Aspas, Sturridge, Moses and Alberto in the team, without including their defensive signings Ilori and Sakho.

This really ould be the year when Man Utd fall away from everyone else, however I think they should be okay for the top 4 as long as they do not lose Van Persie. Injury to him however and they are in serious trouble.

Not sure why you've picked these 2 of a number of PL teams, thought/think Southampton will be around 14th and PO will keep Cardiff up my the skin of their teeth.

Not too far fetched that if Van Persie broke his leg playing for Netherlands this week they could tumble right out of the reckoning to at least below Everton who are nailed on for 7th as things stand. Then it only takes one club to have an exceptional season (Newcastle circa 2011/12) for the prophecy to be realised  ;D

Just saw someone's season predictions on fb:
1st: Chelsea
2nd: Liverpool
3rd: Man City
4th: Man United
5th: Arsenal
6th: Spurs
7th: Everton
8th: Aston Villa
9th: Swansea
10th: Norwich
11th: Fulham
12th: Southampton
13th: Stoke
14th: West Ham
15th: Newcastle
16th: Cardiff
17th: West Brom
18th: Sunderland
19th: Crystal Palace
20th: Hull.

I think I'd have taken that after the first three games but with the additions on deadline day I think we can finish a couple of places higher.

Mine, I refuse to think Villa will finish above us!
1st: Chelsea
2nd: Man City
3rd: Man United
4th: Spurs
5th: Arsenal
6th: Liverpool
7th: Everton
8th: Swansea
9th: Fulham
10th: Southampton
11th: Norwich
12th: West Brom
13th: Aston Villa
14th: West Ham
15th: Newcastle
16th: Stoke
17th: Cardiff
18th: Sunderland
19th: Crystal Palace
20th: Hull.

Watching West Ham at the minute, they do really look short up front. I think when fit Andy Carroll will be a great player for them. However he is injured for a long time and I dont see the other strikers getting enough goals for them.

Quite a boring game. I don't know why Sky choose West Ham when they're away from home. They attempt to kill any hope of a spectacle.
