The issue is if we are going to get sold there’s no point in getting rid. I’d much rather he stay, new owners come in and they start making decisions.

He hasn’t. He massively underestimated how poor the payers were. Add in they didn’t want Slav gone and it’s a perfect storm.

What went wrong was a club and manager thinking that the team that fell over the line due to other teams failings would be able to compete in the Prem.
Nobody with any sense would have said that side would have done well in this league.
Add in a totally bizarre decision to appoint Big Sam because he’s never been relegated, I mean come on, talk about not understanding how football has changed in the last 5 years. You’d think they’d have learnt from Pulis.
Really not hard to see where it went wrong. As for solving it, well it’s fairly simple.
You need a new owner. A complete new board and a manager who is going to build for the now AND the future. I’m sick and tired of you can only have one of these. You can have both with good planning. We’ve probably got 5 or 6 players at best who are worth working with.
For it all to work it starts with a new owner. We have to hope that happens very soon otherwise I fear for the club I am drastically losing interest in.
Supporting a club is highs and lows but this is a low many just don’t need in their lives presently.

Not sure what on Earth I just watched, we’ve known for a while this squad lucked their way out of the championship but that was the worst Albion performance in my lifetime.
Lack of quality isn’t their fault but lack off basic effort and understanding of basic football is embarrassing.
Shocked and not sure I really want to bother with the club for a bit. It’s just not good for anyone.

To be fair the signs were there last year at how much of a bunch of chockers this lot are. We didn’t deserve promotion it was gifted to us.

They might be limited footballers, but in the main I think we have a fairly honest bunch. I think it will be hurting them and I don’t think they’ve tossed it off.

Remember this is an awful Arsenal side as well.

I’m only surprised that others are surprised. The quality and fitness just isn’t there, for Sam’s tactics to work you need to be fit in body and mind. We are a million miles away from both.

Like others have said we basically have the same squad that got promoted and this was a suicidal idea given how dreadful they had played in 2020.
Nobody can be shocked we are struggling, expectations were we would go down from 90% of Albion fans. The board, and only because of interested buyers, have chanced their luck with a manager who’s never got relegated. If Sam does pull it off it will probably be bigger than the great escape season.
He’s going to need a miracle in the jan window and somehow completely change a teams approach, attitude and mindset.
I wish him all them luck but for me this squad is shot to **** now.

The difference is the level of fitness for me. We just look constantly leggy and slow. Villa, Leeds etc looks seriously ahead of us in these stakes.
But it’s not just physical fitness we look mentally tired which is where the mistakes come from in the second half of games.
Since the return after covid this has been a major issue. Sav never solved it, we have to hope Sam can but I can only see this happening with around 5 or 6 new players.

I have a feeling he thought the team was better than this, whereas we've known this team is miles away from staying up an outsider might think, they've got some half descent players. Only when you are in the bubble does the real horror become apparent.
We've been shocking for an entire calendar year now, a manager isn't going to change that without serious personal changes.
