Nothing to do with not being very rational. You've clearly been out of the country for too long to remember just how smothering their all encompassing smugness manifests itself at every........ single......... opportunity. Thinking of moving to Bavaria to get away from it all personally

I think alot is to do with where you live and work Dan. If I'd been born or lived in the Midlands, I'd probably think much the same as most Albion fans.I can only remember one Villa fan at school who came from some Cotswold village. (Bourton something)
As for smugness, the self-acclaimed fans of the 'world's biggest club' take some beating.(You know the ones from Salford who the BBC devote about half their transfer gossip column to). And you get them everywhere, even here in Germany, walking around in their tops. And for all their grandios talk and milions, they are still barely mid-table.
When German Tv show PL highlights, it always just happens to be Man U or Liverpool.
At least with Klopp gone, the lovin-in with FC Liverpool may be on the decllne.
