The officiating in this match is beyond terrible. Rewriting the rules of football as they wish as the match progresses.

Plenty of moans from doghead fans this season about VAR decisions going against them. Tonight they’ve had one go for them instead.

Fingers crossed the Greeks can find another goal from somewhere 🇬🇷

I'm just hoping someone can stop Man United winning it again.

So now they had a player down injured for lengthy treatment, and he didn't have to go off the field at the end of it - he just immediately took the free kick! These officials are bent.
Another example of how bad football is on head clashes and possible concussion. Moutinho should have had an enforced head impact assessment by an independent doctor.

Lucky, lucky Dingles.

I’d say this is as far as their luck goes in the Europa League.

5 X’s Europa League winners Sevilla next, who brushed AS Roma to one side this evening (and to be fair AS Roma are no pushovers).

I thought Olympiakos created the better chances, and Wolves rode their luck a bit, but credit to their central defenders. They will need to produce more attacking wise to beat Sevilla.

Tough tie next up for Wolves, but over 90 minutes anything could happen. Europa League quarter finalists, 3 games from winning a major European trophy and getting Champions league football.

I called it last April and was laughed at un June 2019 when I said they would go to the later stages of the competition and challenege for champions league football. They are made for European football.

Some tough games left but wouldn't put it past them.

To be honest, it makes a change from watching the usual suspects in Europe, Man U, Man City, Liverpool etc. etc.

Fair play to them, showed some serious balls tonight... we couldn't even beat QPR when it mattered.

Over two legs pretty much a perfect European performance against a side that knocked Arsenal out in the previous round.

That’s the thing isn’t it, no matter how good they do they can’t be there so won’t be the same or as good just like our promotion really.

It’s jarring to keep hearing “Wolves are preparing for their first European quarter final in 40 years” on the radio for the last few days.

Back in March 2019, when Wolves were in the FA Cup semi finals and in the battle for 7th, I told anyone who would listen that they would not only qualify for the Europa league, but would reach the later stages of the competition (ie Semi finals or better) and mount a serious challenge.

With them 90 minutes from a European semi final, I stand by that prediction. Their game and players are perfectly suited to this style of football, so I’m ready in myself for a whole lot of gloating from their lot over the next few weeks.

Tough challenge of course - Sevilla have been great in 2020, Man Utd look tired but are better they were while Inter look like they could push Juventus in Serie A next season, but if I could get to a bookies without using one of those stupid apps, I’d put a tenner in the Wolves.

This may go against the grain with some, but I honestly like and rate Nuno.

I think he rises above some fans petty rivalry, on both sides, and respects his opponent, it might be a trait of not being from these shores

Not often I agree with you Partizan. However, it’s not in hope, more in logic. I admire Nunos work, but I suspect this is a bridge too far - Wolves have played nearly 12 months football with just a break for the lockdown. With only a small squad, I just can’t see them overcoming a powerful outfit like Sevilla.

I like their manager but that's as far as it goes.

Missed pen for the Dingles. Hilarious run-up.

Portuguese Pulisball gets what it deserves. With the players they have, against a side not much better than them, to set up that negatively I'd be pretty annoyed if I was a fan.

At the end of the day they've won nothing, won't be in Europe next season and have ended up with a fine for breaching FFP. At what point do they realise there's no way they are going to break into Europe's elite?
