I'm confused! Are we talking about dings, or the vile? ???

Villa on the Dingle thread.

If we go too long without again against the Dingles we may start to view them similar to Villa view us, god forbid. Wo1ve5 will always be the main derby for me.

It's true there is nothing like a BCD. I've been to every villa and wolves games since 2001 and the only villa game that stands out for me was the cup game. A wolves game just always has an extra edge and tense atmosphere compared to the villa games. Real hatred both ways

Used to be different. Before the 90s we really didn't care all that much about Wolves

I think it depends how old you are, we went years without playing the dingles when they were in their rightful place in the 3rd & 4th division.
I hate wolves but hate the vile a thousand times more.

What's their situation regarding sponsorship?

Done deal. No amount of protesting can terminate a legal agreement unless I imagine Wolves pay a tidy sum.

I signed an online petition from change.org in protest at the sponsorship deal  ;D.
Think it's got something like 10,000 signatures.
The bloke who organised the petition is meeting club officials some time soon to hand it in.
Probably not got a cat in hells chance of influencing things.
Thought I'd add my disgust as a mark of solidarity  :D.

Ed: 13,042 signatures.

Anyone fancy adding to this total  ;)?

Just had an email from change.org.

The link below leads to an account of the supporters meeting with the club regarding the petition I posted above.

http://tinyurl.com/zrulrjf

Paid them lip service then basically f(kd them off.

No great surprise really.

Pie and a pint anyone?

Everytime I see this thread come to the top of the board I have to take a moment to remember who it's about.

I genuinely forgot Wolves existed for about 4 months this season.

Made me laugh out loud.
 :P.

I did a double take myself some time ago.

When the thread popped up a while back I thought someone was going to say they'd gone bust.

Sad thing about it is that it's true. Playing them now would be like playing Walsall they are of that little consequence to us.

Haha, you being serious? The atmosphere would be incredible, not playing them for a few years when the majority of Albion fans under 35 hate them and most fans all ages from Rowley/Tividale onwards towards Wolvo have them as there biggest rivals.

I would be very disappointed if we lost the atmosphere of a BCD as when we play Villa at home we only just have a slightly better atmosphere than a normal league game. Also the difference between going to Villa Park where you could basically walk up from the train station to the ground in your Albion shirt to going to the Molineux is worlds apart.

BCD just have a different feel to it the week before and especially on the day.

I don't really see this as a bad thing though. I dont want to attend a game of football fearing for my safety

Deadly. They don't matter a jot anymore.

The fact they haven't been good enough to set foot on the same pitch as us many times in the last decade will tell you this.

I agree with him, they are of such inconsequence to us im not sure the build up would be as big as it used to be.

But then Villa now become inconsequential following their relegation and they can all play each other.....im sure though that they will now say how much they enjoy it and its the best thing to be in the league with the other midlands clubs yet when these clowns were the only ones in the top division they all said it dont matter about all that because we are in the top league....

We are the top team in The Midlands now and every single one of those clubs would trade places to be where we are now.

I have never really seen them as a threat or a rival, more like a poor neighbour who needs pity, but to be honest, they are of so little consequence, I could not even tell you their league position or last two results.
