Cardiff has said Grants injury is NOT serious, may even make the squad for next game

Let’s hope they buy him then.

I've not really been tracking progress (or lack of) of our loan players.

As we're at the half way stage ish of the season, is there anyone out there willing to put together a summary of how players have done on their respective loans so far?

I'd become a cross dresser if it get him out without a massive loss to us.

We will take a massive loss, it's inevitable. What we can hope for is to minimize that loss as much as possible.

In his case the best hope is to offload the wages burden and recover the value that remains outstanding to Huddersfield.

There's no denying there was more than one protagonist in that deal. That six year lay away plan. Muppetry.

True but driven along by Slav alone who later admitted he knew he wasn't staying past the 2nd year of his deal by the summer during promotion.

Of course there was. We’ve discussed this before. The manager does not have the authority to sign huge value cheques. He can say he wants the player but can be overruled. That’s how the hierarchy works in any business.

Interesting one. No point him coming back here as he won't play. I'm assuming he's pushed us to let him go to a League 1 club.

Can he play elsewhere. He was on the bench in the Carabao Cup.

Don't think he's played for anyone but Donny so should be ok to move. He didn't play for us in the cup game

I don’t think being an unused sub counts as an appearance for us, so he should be alright to go out on a new loan

Young lads need agents to stop them being taken advantage of, but it all sounds very off that he was happy to stay there, doing well, then next thing you know he wants to move despite both clubs wishes. Maybe someone like Wrexham or Stockport want him.

Hope so OB, no point him sitting here for 5 more months, he needs to be out playing.

That interview with McCann reflects really badly on Mo Faal Let's hope something comes out to explain why he has behaved so disrespectfully

Let's see where he ends up at the end of the window, so I am not going to be critical of him yet.

It appears to me it is the agent telling him that he can do better trying to get his client playing at a higher level so he gets his payday quicker.

I am shocked to see that as a club we appear to so little input in the decision, and we are maybe too scared to put foot down fearing we may lose another youth player.

If he goes nowhere and is still playing u23 football and not had any impact with us in February then that gives us small insight of what really happens at youth level, which I am sure most suspected was agent lead all along in most cases.

To not have anything better lined up should lead MF seeing sense and changing his agent, but who knows.

It also sounds like Brunty and McCann have the kind of history where he has been told of our disappointment, after he has got him at Rovers in the first place.

Decent chance Faal ends up at Walsall. Apparently he was in the stands yesterday and also seen rumours from the Doncaster end that he's going there. Realistically, he's probably not League 1 level yet, needs a good end to the season before making the step up imo.

Strange. Walsall hadn’t really been any better than Doncaster until December.

I don’t know why we allowed this to happen it when he was getting minutes for a manager who clearly liked him
