Just seen reports that the owners helicopter has crashed in the clubs car park, hope everyone is okay. Remember hearing about Tom Silk dying in a helicopter accident in the early 80's I think it was after a game at Everton.

Just seen a video on Twitter of a fire in the car park, apparently it took off from the pitch as normal but crashed in the car park.

Helicopter reported to have landed on its side and huge fire ball. Luckily did not land on the stadium or in a busy car park.

What with this tragic accident and the news about Glen Hoodle suffering a heart attack, it hasn’t been a good weekend for the football family.

Worryingly, @BBCNews have just reported that Claude Puel may have been on the helicopter this evening. This situation is absolutely horrendous, and I continue to send my prayers to all affected. #LCFC #FootballFamily

Well I did have doubts he was on board reason being the crash happened hour after game, Schmiechel apparently ran outside. Indicating players were still in ground and manager usually stays with players and conducts interviews. But at least it is confirmed he wasn't on board good news finally. I hope they suspend the EFL cup competition while they investigate what happened and during this difficult time for LCFC.

Shocking news, but just imagine if the copter had come down on the stadium. You would have had a major football club as good as destroyed.
Thoughts are with the owners and anyone else on board.

Awful incident. I am surprised in this age of health and safety that a helicopter is allowed to routinely land and take off inside a stadium.

Great touch, I've seen a picture with an Everton shirt and Leeds scarf so I think it will be welcomed warmly by their fans.

From what I gather, helicopters are notoriously dangerous due to crashes, the same thing happened with Colin McCrae and Noel Edmond's helicopter crashed years back but he survived.

What has come out of this terrible tragedy is how committed and dedicated the generous chairman was not only to his beloved Leicester City and it’s fans but also  to the city of Leicester. It is almost unprecedented. RIP.

Agreed. Not the time to talk about it but they should commemorate him with a statue.

Foreign chairmen often get a bad rep but Vichai was certainly one of the good guys, a sad day.

Devastating news, I hadn't realised how much he has done for Leicester as a city, donating to the universities and such.

Seemed an absolute Gent.

Thoughts and prayers are with his family and the families of the other victims.
