We always make too many changes for these games. I want to see Josh Griffiths. Hopefully Dike if he hasn't already figures and Pipa and Fellows from the start. Otherwise we should took play our full strength side and go for the cup. Our 2 best promotion campaigns megson and Mowbray we had great cup runs.
Just had a call from the club that my seat in the Smethwick has to be refunded and I need to book a seat elsewhere :( >:( Nice guy on the phone declined my suggestion of telling 'em to F OFF!
Oh well Rainbow stand or Millenium corner it is then
For those believing in omens, there are a worrying few similarities between Aldershot and Woking. Both are medium sized towns on the Hampshire Surrey border, and being just 12 miles apart, are one anothers closest footballing neighbours. It also appears that Woking on that inglorious day in 1991 were at a similar level of the football pyramid (Isthmian League Premier!) as Aldershot are now, whilst we were then at second tier level as we are now. Surely history couldn't repeat itself, could it? :o
Coming from a village bang on the Hampshire-Surrey border, I was in a pub last week when a group of cyclists entered wearing full Lycra fatigues whom I knew as parents of my lad. They said that they were hiring a minibus to go up to the Hawthorns and watch the game. It's not an especially football mad area (an atmosphere of condescension usually arises when I mention the Baggies). However, Aldershot FC does raise some passion in parts especially when playing Woking so it's quite possible that their allocation will be taken up.
That's a bit weird !!!
You beat me to it!!!
Good morning Alex. Proper little ray of sunshine to brighten a damp morning you aren't ya? Feeling fully invigorated for the challenges the day ahead brings now. Cheers for that...... but just so you're aware I can only take so much positivity in one go 8) .Yes Dan. I usually try to put a more positive spin on things. But this time sounding like one of those fans (and we have them here) who use being negative as a reverse psychology, so that when they always predict doom and gloom, they can never be too disappointed when we lose.

Just settle down:Living close to the East Anglian fens, you seem " normal for Norfolk" :-*
CORRECTION: "whom I knew as parents of my lad's school mates"
Don't want to give the wrong impression about life in villages on the Surrey = Hants border.
Carlos has said "2nd team for this" Ajayi is going to the African NationsI'd like to Clearly if fit, Higgins and Whitwell play they looked quality when I saw them. Fellows plays today so Will Carlos risk him and Wallace may be injured
So expect this side
Griffiths, Pipa, Taylor, Pieters, Reach, Chalobah, Fellows, Molumby, Swift, Higgins, Dike
Subs: Wallace, Hollingshead, Swift, BTA, Bartley, Townsend, Whitwell, Heard, Love
One thing is for certain we don't want to lose to Aldershot or have a replay. A 4th round tie could be lucrative and fund a loan signing........

We need to go strong and try and get the game done first half.
Griffiths
Pipa Taylor Pieters Townsend
Molumby Chalobah Reach
Fellows Pipa
BTA
I would put quite a strong team out, I feel like Yokuslu and Kipre are too important to our team for us to be without but obviously I am not privy to fitness concerns. I'd like us to start strong, I think it is important. I have Palmer in ahead of Griffiths as I think it sends a message that we are taking the game seriously but have no real issue with Griffiths starting.
Palmer
Kipre
Taylor
Pieters
Pipa
Yokuslu
Chalobah
Reach
Fellows
Malcolm
Thomas-Assante/Swift - depending on fitness
I was thinking of coming up for this one, but not going to bother now, given the comments from CC
No commitment some people, I mean it's not like it's a long journey for you...... ;D .

I read (on here) that he had said it would be a team of kids and fringe players,
What's he said mate?
I read (on here) that he had said it would be a team of kids and fringe players,
Oh ok, thanks. I hope he does. We can't afford any more injuries
We should be temporarily forgetting all aspirations about play-offs and concentrate on sending Aldershot packing.
Given the desperate financial status of the club, we need to get through and hope for a very attractive game in the next round.
I went and witnessed a dire performance last season at Chesterfield, resulting in a totally unwanted replay.
No more of that nonsense please
If we are not in the hat for the 4th Round, that would surely give the possibility of the EFL re-arranging a league fixture. If the League is our priority, we don't really need any extra games now given the injury/AFCON situation. i.e. we need to win on Sunday.
If our 2nd string can't beat Aldershot (whilst approaching the game professionally of course, this is the key) i'd be worried after seeing the standard of football in the league they play in.You can bet your bottom dollar that every Aldershot player will be giving it 100%. That's their only chance. If we lose, it will be because some of our players (maybe some who don't think they need to prove anything), take it a bit easier. The other thing is, I don't know how CC views the FA Cup.
I was it two years ago we made a mess of playing chesterfield away and had to play again?
Fortunately I don’t see it happening again, particularly with the match at home. I think it’ll be a comfortable 3-0
Bit concerned about this one, we really need to be well up for it or it will be another Woking. They have a very attack minded style and their No.10 Josh Stokes is some player....would love him to come and play for us.
Farnham Herald says that Stokes was sent off (2nd yellow, adjudged to dive) on New Years Day in local derby against Woking. They could appeal.
Be too late now I expect. Not surprising that Norwich are looking him. He’s a local lad having come through the Ipswich Town academy.
Thought the original comment about wanting us to sign him was a little odd for a national league player so googled him. Incredible record for a 19 year old in what seems to be his first year in men’s football.
Without seeing him, that data does suggest it could be a shrewd, low risk move. Norwich are rumoured to be in for him.
Dike to start tomorrow according to CC which is brilliant news. Lets hope he doesn't break down again.
It's not, he'll be bloody knackered by the time we kick off ;) .Now now! Let's stay positive. I'm thinking 20 minutes before he hobbles off.

Does anyone know if this will be on WBA TV for a fee for either domestic or overseas viewers?
Is there a possibility there are more Aldershot fans there than Albion fans?
Anyone know how many we've sold?

Club announced this game as been picked for foreign broadcast last month Gaz.
Lewis because has said Alershot have sold just over 5000 so far so should be some good noise from the away end.I'm parked at the station and seen a very lot if Aldershotians streaming out towards the away end. Not terribly noisy about it yet though

No Reach is the major surprise. Bit mix and match
Potentially Reach would've been LB and Pieters CB instead of Bartley if Reach was fit.
How is he injured again??
Anyone heard anything about Heard😂😂😂😂 I have seen him play
😂
Fenton Heard playing I've seen him play against Darlo looked decent. Anyone know the bench
CannI've seen Shaw, Mfuamba, Higgins and Whitwell play against Darlo to
Kipré
BTA
Yokuslu
Higgins
Mfuamba
Shaw
Love
Whitwell
That herd looks decent
Dike 3-0, chuffed for him
Leathered it in! So happy for him that clearly meant the world to him and will do no wonders for his confidence.

Sometimes you just want I player to score for more than just football. Not quite the same as these but I remember Becks pen against Argentina and Lampard having a pen after his mum died and beyond the specifics of that game you just hope they score.
Longer term, he’s missed a couple of headers today but it’s abundantly clear Dike gives us something BTA cant (and vice versa)
Dike could have had a hattrick, Chalobah placed a nice ball no one went for it. Dike set to play first half maybe he should get longer.he’s starting to flag a little bit, 45 mins will do him no harm and these defenders will struggle with BTA in behind as they tire. Then there’s Love who is decent in his own right.
Dike done well now let's if see BTA will cause issues, unless Malcolm is moved up Top and we try something else at 3-0 it is worth experimenting.
BTA would run them ragged with his work rate.
I would like to see more younger players brought on around the 60 minute mark personally if we are still in control
Not much 'experience' for Griffifths so farDoubt if he’ll have anything to do - he should have brought a book with him to read !
Whitwell and Kipre coming on apparentlymy guess for Heard and Taylor.
my guess for Heard and Taylor.totally wrong :D
my guess for Heard and Taylor.
Pieters still not really at the game.
Pre-paid taxi for Pieters methinks. He’s done reasonably well for us but his time is now up
Borefest at the moment from us.it’s playing like an academy game, slower paced and bad decisions/passes out the wazoo.
Love way over the bar,had too long to think about that, but it’s 3 on 1!
Same team for the next round? No matter what team we are up against.Well unless we get a Derby against Wolves, Villa or maybe Blues. If we have Man City or someone else yeah nothing to loose. In a Derby game we need to name out best side
Anyone know when the 4th round draw is?Tommorrow 10 to eight before Man Utd take on Wigan on ITV4 or ITV1 and on Iplayer
Nathanial Chalaboh has been mentioned several times on this post match article as having a good game although has often criticised in the past.
He took the opening goal well which settled us down and I think there is a good player in there especially if he plays a more forward role rather than as defensive ball holder in midfield often coming on as a substitute for Okay - well done Nathanial.
For anyone who was at the game or watched it how did Taylor do?
Does he look able to make the step up next season?
We have Kipre,Bartley,Pieters out of contract at the end of the season where would Taylor fit into the equation?

Professional performance and really happy with the youngsters who got a chance. Who was it that made the pass for Fellows goal? It was brilliant.Harry Whitwell seen it on Match Of The Day that was a ball Jed would be proud of. Perfectly weighted, well timed
