I’ve seen a few people say its not been a good day negotiation wise. Taken it all with a pinch of salt but it does make you wonder that nothings been announced by now there must still be complications.

I’d put good money on it being our insistence on him keeping some of our coaches on his team as opposed to his own group.

Two of the infamous ITK on twitter have both said the deals off, Sooty has since deleted his tweets.

Not that I fall too much into twitter ITK but Dood as above saying its off ( but then adds a get out tweet saying things may change ) .
The Rainbow Stand stated the deal was off this afternoon but Gourlay had to work hard to get it back on .Few final bits to sort.

and that site would be what exactly, click-bait nonsense that copy & pastes rumours from other made up tweets and click-bait sites?

It is worrying that this appointment is taking so long, but this is Albion. To add to the frustration both Middlesbrough and Villa have appointed new managers/coaches today.

My word if any of this is true we’ve really fallen to levels I didn’t think possible.

Anyone else feeling nervous?
I mean the more he finds out about the club and its ownership ...

It wouldn’t be a job I’d be rushing to take if I were a manager on the up.

That’s being brutally honest.

It’s a huge job but most of the outside world sees us as a club where things have just gone a bit wrong, and it’ll soon level out and we’ll be back amongst the promotion challengers.

Most of us closer to it know otherwise.

There’s plenty of blame for failing here, and probably not so much credit for succeeding as far as the outside world sees it.

But we know we have an absent owner, incompetent management, poor players on long contracts, regularly sack managers of all kinds, limited/no resources, losing culture.

Massive job.

I think anything is possible Phil.

Sadly.

The record suggests as much.

We’ve got slipping down the Leagues written all over us. Unless sold I can’t see any hope anymore.

Supposedly we're on the brink of administration, if you believe the Twitter folk.

Just to add to that, the poster has 50k followers but then followed up the tweet by saying, and i paraphrase "if we carry on like this we will be" so that isn't really on the brink at all. A very misleading tweet!

It's Sooty, DOOD and The Rainbow Stand sending WBA twitter into a spin.

I definitely am concerned that it hasn't been wrapped up yet but there have been many reputable journalists (Guillem Balague for example) that have said positive things about it. We shall see.

Lai is one of the worst owners in football history but things can't have gotten that bad surely.

Saying that we have no idea if he sent any more.money to China last season yet.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive. If none of this is true they should get their accounts banned.

Further damning evidence that Gourlay should be sacked. Found the money for his pal and his son and had to pay him off when they could have been moved on for free and now rumours we are struggling to afford a new gaffer.

Classic WBA under Lai
