A point away from home would be nice, but we could really do with 3 points to take into the derby match.

We played them in the F.A. Youth cup final in 1969 (I think) In our kids team we had Asa Hartford, Gordon Nesbit in goal, who later played full back for us. Jim Holton later of M.U fame & Len Cantello. Sunderland had Colin Todd, Denis Tueart late of M.C. & Bobby Kerr We won at home 3-0 in front of 27,000. A few thousand of us went to the 2nd leg, on a saturday at Roker Park & they stuffed us 6-0! So nothing changes when you support the Albion!

Cant see us getting anything here. Sitting back surrendering possession to a team that scored 4 against STOKE will result in a tanking........and thats just what I expect to happen.

I'm dreading the Dingles game, really am !

It is a mistake to theorize before one has the facts. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.

The FA Cup game in 2002, we outsung the 48'000 Sunderland crowd and upset a side who were pretty good back then

Remeber that i was only 11, my second away game. The whole end went crazy when the sceond went in

A point would be a very good result for us here. This will be a very tough game with them being a good side and them being at home. I'm confident about it at all but i have faith.

A point on saturday would give a boost of confidence going into the dingles game
I hate stoke, i hate newcastle more than i hate stoke, i hate andy carrol more than i hate newcastle, i hate v*lla more than i hate andy carrol but i hate the dingles most of all. Albion till i die

Norwich tonight are making Sunderland look very ordinary by playing fast "hurry-up" football, not by sitting off and letting them have the ball and dictate play.
If we do the same we should get a result BUT IF WE PLAY LIKE WE DID 1ST HALF ON SATURDAY, EXPECT A GOOD HIDING.

Backing us for at least a point here. Think Sunderland are essentially all over the shop. Bruce lost the plot a long time ago. Think their back four is still pants despite changing it again.

Two teams low in confidence and desperate not to lose.  It might be a cagey affair. :(
