For once I’m with Wolves. I don’t think I’ve ever said that before!

From what i read on the train into work this evening there is not enough desire for it to be scrapped but things change i guess!

Would this include the newly promoted sides, or can the relegated sides vote, even though it would no longer affect them?

Good question. Makes more sense for the promoted teams to get the vote but not sure

Wolves make a formal request for VAR to be scrapped.

@David_Ornstein

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Premier League clubs to vote on proposal to scrap VAR from next season. Resolution formally submitted by Wolves to abolish system + will be on agenda at June 6 AGM. Any rule change needs 2/3s majority (14 of 20 members) to pass @TheAthleticFC

Sounds like Maja will only be involved if CC has no forwards.

Unbelievable the number of players, and managers Man Utd get linked to. There's a so-called Gossip column on the BBC website, and about half of the stories every day involve Man Utd being interested in somebody.

For me it was more the hope of Southgate being gone from England post 🤞

🆕 Kieran McKenna is a also a candidate to become the next manager of Manchester United.

?? There has been a meeting in recent days between the Red Devils and Kieran McKenna's agent

? Gareth Southgate is still a top target and he is keen on the job but MUFC are worried about when England National Team will be free to recover the job.

Hasn't really impressed in any of his championship loans so far. had 3 so far.

i would say he would end up at a Sheff Utd or Burnley potentially.

Blades are skint i think, will be selling a lot more than buying i heard.

Could move Walker Peters over and play Bree at RB

Is WP good at LB though? Genuinely have no idea

I think Usyk is the better boxer technically but Fury is no slouch and with the size advantage i think Fury will edge it

12
I’m willing to have a small wager Manning will not be LB/LWB on Friday !

I think he's the only LB they have available and he's decent at this level. I would not have minded him on a free in the summer

13
Like others, wouldn't be against him on a permanent but can't be for a large fee.

I found this from Birmingham World, I'm sure it's the same basic article.

Thanks.

As for Maja himself doesn't sound so good, wonder if he has some mental hangover as he was basically assaulted twice. We know Maja is physically fit, the experts in the medical department said so.

"For those wondering, Josh Maja is ‘fine’ according to #WBA head coach Carlos Corberan. He told me because of the type of game it was going to be, he felt that Maja ‘couldn’t achieve his normal physical resources’ due to the injury he suffered earlier in the season.". Steve Hermon BBC

I thought Bartley was immense today and probably my motm. Let's hope we defend that well at St Mary's on Friday.

Yes he was excellent today i thought

MOTM today. Had Manning on toast.

PL fans were taking a liking to him on Twitter at HT. No surprise.

Imperative we let the 30 yr olds on 20k a week go and put whatever we can into a decent striker, even if its a loan from the PL

22
Frustrate them for the first 15 mins at their place and unsettle the fans. Then see what happens

Pressure will be on them to keep their home fans happy.

23
I thought he was off it in the first half and it gave Walker-Peters freedom to get on the ball which is his (WP) strength, it's not defending.

2nd half though i thought MJ was much better, beat WP more than once and pinned him back which took pressure off us

24
That was by far the best chance of the game. Poor finish.

Anywhere but where he hit and it's 1-0 but it's gone now. Frustrating.

25
Would have loved to take a lead into this game but more confident than i was before. Pressure almost on Saints now.
