Well, what do you do with this lot? 5-3-2 seemed to suit us at Bournemouth but at home to Burnley we were awful till we switched to 4-4-2 again a system which has got us nothing all season. Where the hell do you go from here?

Swansea aren't the best team in the world and at home with nothing to lose we have to have a go at them surely?

4-3-3. Keep the wide men high up the pitch, plenty of pace out wide. Three in the middle of the park two of them with technical ability and Livermore ahead of Yacob just for his ability to get around the place.

                                                              Foster

               Dawson              Evans                                 Hegazi                Brunt

                                Krychowiak             Livermore                     Field

               Burke                                      Rondon                                    Phillips

Subs: Myhill, Nyom, McAuley, Gibbs, Yacob, McClean, Rodriguez. (Alterations perhaps if Sturridge, Morrison, Chadli, Robson - Kanu are available - stop laughing now!)

I actually think we've got more chance of getting something out of the game now.

Expecting another performance like Saturday though, where we lose comfortably, and the players do just enough to avoid the abuse they deserve from a comatose support.

honestly I was considering not being up before 7am anymore but with AP gone and DM in charge I'm looking forward to this, just hope I'm not disappointed and see some young blood. If I can only have one youngster, I hope it's Field.

Just imagine.....just for a moment....Big Dave puts Field in who puts on a blinder because the boss actually believes in him...and Burke sets up a cross for Rondon...and Brunt swings a few set pieces in...and we pick up a much needed three points...and suddenly the teams above us look over their shoulders....and remember that they haven't had a bad run yet...could make an exciting finale to the season.

Suddenly, Palace away on the last day could be another Portsmouth end to the 93/94 season.

Surely the fact that they are in a relegation scrap disproves this?

It's never too early for beer  :P

Hull:

They may have lost games throughout the season but not necessarily had a bad run of games, like all in a row like us. Technically we don't have to win all 8 games. It just depends if the teams above us go on a bad run, only has to be 4 game turn around which is still possible. And the pressure is off us as everyone says we're down, so if we can pick up a result then it would certainly unsettle the teams above us.

they were winless in 9 before they sacked Clement, so have had a comparable poor run to us as have all the sides in the bottom 6, sadly ours has lasted longer than anyone expected.
Even if we do manage to win on Saturday the best I think we can hope for is to not be bottom come May 14th, no chance will we avoid relegation and to be honest I'm more excited at the prospect of a massive change at the club at all levels in the Championship than I would be by another season in the Premier league. The only reason I'd want us to survive is so that background staff keep their jobs.
