No negativity. We need to be positive and create a great atmosphere, no anti Pulis chants please.
Here's a bit of free advice, you do what you want to do and leave everyone else to do what they want to do! Pulis out

Do you think Pulis will set the team up with a positive attitude?

I very much doubt it, as such don’t be surprised to hear anti Pulis chants.
It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

What i'd choose

                Foster

Nyom  Hegazi  Evans Gibbs

       Yacob   Krychowiak

Phillips      Chadli      Mcclean

               Rondon

What we probably will see;

                    Foster

Nyom Mccauley Hegazi Evans Gibbs

       Barry Krychowiak Livermore

                     J Rod

                    Rondon

I'd be happy with your line up mate, maybe Brunt for McLean, but that's about it.
The fact that only 1 man would pick the 2nd line up, shows how out of touch he is.

Chadli
Brunt

Rondon
You still haven't said if you think Pulis will pick that team or if he will persist with 5 defenders and 3 defensive midfielders.
Not singling you out, just interested to see if those that support him actually believe he will change it.

I think you need McClean in a game like this for his workrate. It is against the teams in and around us that I would prefer a ball player like Brunt in the team, not that it will overly matter as we won't see much of the ball in this one, it will be about how well we can counter when we do turn over possession.

Just wouldn't surprise me to see a better effort and more balanced team on Saturday , possibly Brunt and Yacob back in and that 3 in the middle scrapped.
At this point I'd say previous managers had almost gone  no matter what but Pulis is a bit different , he's had two weeks to to consider his stubborn line up. Of course if at 14.45 its the same old line up I think that will be his lot.

I think he will change it, something similar to the line up I've named. Maybe Livermore instead of Chadli.

As much as I wish this were true I just can't see the board sacking Pulis after a defeat to Chelsea or even after a defeat to Spurs.
Should we lose to Newcastle I could see them getting rid as that will be all 3 newly promoted sides we've lost to. Failing that I think it will be after either Palace or Swansea (depending on results).

Whilst it might be a stretch to describe any of the next 5 games as "must wins", I'd argue that the last 3 of them should be considered "must not lose games" as we will be in danger of having a very low points tally which would make it very hard for any manager (incoming or otherwise) to accrue the necessary points for survival. "Must not lose" shouldn't mean negative, defensive set up and tactics, it should mean attack with purpose...but will it?

So 7 defensive players rather than 8 (if Livermore comes in instead of Chadli) and only Phillips with any pace? Hardly a positive change.

I can't see him doing anything differently to the way we went against Man City as he will see a 3-2 defeat to them as being a positive result, despite the face we were really never in the game and Man City could have gone up another four gears had they needed to as they beat us at walking pace.

Can't see it being anything other than:

                                                              Foster

         Nyom              McAuley                 Evans              Hegazi                   Gibbs

                                 Barry                 Livermore                Krychowiak

                                             Rodriguez              Rondon

Subs: Myhill, Yacob, Brunt, McClean, Phillips, Chadli, Burke.

I'd like something like:

                                                      Foster

                     Nyom          McAuley              Evans          Gibbs

                                                     Yacob

                      Phillips             Krychowiak       Brunt        McClean

                                                     Rodriguez

Subs:  Myhill, Hegazi, Livermore, Barry, Chadli,Morrison, Rondon,

Surely he would be abit stupid to go with such a defensive team, especially with the backlash from fans that he has faced recently?

Hopefully 4 defenders, 2 holding, 2 wingers, a CAM and a striker!

Foster,

Nyom,
Evans,
Hegazy,
Gibbs

Barry,
Greg

Phillips
Chadli
Brunt/Mclean

Rondon

Or maybe im dreaming :(.

No negativity. We need to be positive and create a great atmosphere, no anti Pulis chants please.

I think what will actually happen is the team selection will set the tone and the attitude towards the game will add to the tone. Our tone will most likely be Pulis's "tone" which may be quite negative.

Lose one of the defensive midfielders and/or a defender and replace with one/two of Chadli/Morrison/Burke/Phillips and i imagine the atmosphere be much more positive, and if they attack that will continue.

Unfortunately we're against Chelsea when most wouldn't mind a defensive based team if it was a break from the norm.

The team selection and the attitude towards the game will set the atmosphere, the fans will just respond to what happens in the moment.

I actually think that TP is between a rock and a hard place in this game.
Negative and fans will crucify him, positive and Chelsea will do for him

I sincerely hope we do, Palace played well in that game with a lot of attacking intent. Only one shot less than Chelsea (14 to 15) and the same amount on target (5).
