At the moment because we just seem to be just a rag-taggle bunch, I think it will be 0-1.
We will sit deep as per usual, we will play most of the game in our own half, they will then be able to attack in force to grab the goal.

The worrying thing for me is that last season we kept just 6 clean sheets - meaning we needed to score at least twice to win the game 32 times last season.

Which we did for 10 of our 12 wins (the only 1-0 wins we had were at Palace and at home to Stoke).

Interestingly last season we scored as many goals as we did in Steve Clarke's full season.

I think Rodriguez will chip in with around 8 goals to go with the same amount for Rondon, Phillips and Chadli will get around 5 each then we'll have our usual goals from defence plus the odd goal from Brunt, McClean, Morrison, Robson-Kanu etc.
I would expect us to score around the same amount of goals again next season if we don't get anyone else in.

Personally I think that Jrod will do rather better than 8, but the thing that I do like about our team is that goals come from all positions. In our present regular set up, apart from Foster, only Yacob and Nyom are unlikely to hit the net. Other teams are not like that and rely upon their strikers more.......
MAGA!

And we also scored more than twice in 13 games last season in total too which is better than 1 in 3. Have to admit I was a bit surprised by that myself.

Although to balance it, we did fail to score in 15 games as well. Hopefully the Rodriguez signing may help to better that figure this time round. Saying that, 8 of the games we failed to score in were from March onwards. We really did finish poorly!

Read that when asked what he thought the score would be ahead of games, Les James always used to predict 2-1 to the Albion.

I'm going for 2-1 to the Albion in his memory.

The road works start at junction 2, but the lanes closures can possibly start from junction 4a for the M42.

2950 tickets still available for the first game of the season  :o

We could have some very poor crowds this season as we get into the winter months if things don't improve.

Attendance was only 23,654 for the first home game last season to be fair and 24,564 the season before that

I've looked online and can't find much on McAuley - will he be injured for this game or fit?
I think Morrison is injured whereas it's less clear on McAuley.

Had to go to the other side of Brum on Friday. The A38 was chocka and joining the M5 at junction 5 was a nightmare. Doing a lot of stop start and 10 mph until junction 4A where I turned off....Not much better there, either.

The whole squad should be in full training this week so Pulis will have 17 players to chose from so we will get some idea of the team and it's shape for the rest of the season

Reading some of the online chatter about the Deportivo performance we could well be in for a very torrid time on Saturday unless something pretty amazing happens in the coming week!  :o
