Reports that he looked like a rabbit in the headlights and not up to that standard, but it was a particularly on fire Barcelona.

I'll be interested to see how he does over the course of the season.

5 of the 7 goals were played in behind Gamboa but as you say it was Barca...  I'm sure he'll be fine against Hamilton and Dundee.

I know it was Messi and his pals, but Gamboa was dire. Completely lost.

He'll be ok against the lower Scottish sides, in truth it's probably his level

Just shows how poor the standard of football is in Scotland. OK it was Barca, arguably the greatest side in the world, but Celtic were like rabbits in the headlights. Very poor.

And to think they just beat Rangers 5-1.

On Guardian football weekly someone said they thought Celtic would finish 12th in the premier league. Now we're not great but I'm 99% sure Barca wouldn't put 7 past us.

I was having this discussion at work this morning, I dont think we would lose 7-0 aganst Barca.

I also think we would beat Celtic.

Just saw the Barca goals and despite it being v Barca And his debut at the Nou Camp Gamboa was all over the place. Hope he's just a bit rusty and does better up there and in the rest of the champions league

I mentioned Barca to pre-empt any responses of a similar nature for those posters that think he was good enough for the premier league.

Leicester looked very good and from what I hear so did Man City.

Could be a good year for English clubs in the Champions League.

Leicester did extremely well albeit against the worst team in the thing.

Worst team in their group, I think it would be between Bruges, Celtic, Legia Warsaw and Rostov as to who is the worst team in the whole tournament.

What I wouldn't give to see us win 3-0 away in the Champions League...

...or win 3-0 at all...or win...or just score.

Brilliant. I was thinking just the same thing. Living in Leicester it is so hard at the moment. But on a positive note I have got a ticket for their Champions  League match against Porto so maybe I can see some class and goals

Yep, I'm only immensely jealous!

I've also got corporate hostility at Old Trafford for when we play at Man U.... That should make you even more envious..... Two attacking teams full of world class quality.👍

Think when Leicester get a proper tie they'll be found out. They've had it relatively easy so far

I wonder if many Leicester supporters will be moaning about only having 29% possession against 10 men   :-X .

In their defence that was a proper tie, did you not see the Europa League Final last season?
