I'm shocked at how many supporters seem to be ok with the prospect at losing out most successful and prolific striker of recent times. Even through a dip in form, he has scored some cracking goals and won us matches. If you think Nicky Maynard is going to be a better option than Odemwingie, you are delusional. I for one will be screwin' if we allow him to leave. I'd rather have to replace the manager than a 15 goal premiership striker with our financial clout.

Absolutely agree mate, glad you said it as i thought it was only one who thought it was completely bonkers!!

The problem is there are no guarentees he will find that form again with us. Its a truely difficult situation for the club as a whole.

I would love Pete to stay and do well. 10 goals from him this season would be great. I just dont think he does second seasons!

still think he is a match winner and if he goes there is only 1 striker i would have any faith in at the club!
secondly considering we are such low scorers i doubt it would be wise to get rid of our highest premier league goal scorer!

unless fulham want to give us bobby zamora we would be mad to go with this deal if its actually real

 :-[

theres no guarantee damien duff will be any good, if we had another replacement lined up what guarantees do they offer. We know Pete has goals in him he's said good things about us lot and i think we should back him he'll probably get 25 goals in the 2 seasons he's been here come the end of this season, if before we signed him we were told that we'd be saying itd be mad to sell him and it is. However, Roy needs to play him differently thats where the problem lies.

The only way I can see Pete going to Fulham is if Zamora comes the other way, Hodgson really rates him, and got the best out of him in his time there. A very good player, like MAF with pace and the ability to actually shoot from time to time. Not slating Fortune, but lets be honest, he's a slightly better Emile Heskey. Hope he doesn't leave to be honest, he has shown signs of improvement over the last few weeks.

Sky Sports News are saying he is now seriously on West Hams radar. Lets hope this is just more cockney propaganda - they usually do their business in the media after all.

Why do West Ham get linked with so many decent players, even though they are in the Championship. I hate that club, the owners and their fans.

Give us 6 million, and they can have him.

Yeah like he'll go there. Championship football? Seriously the press need to make up better stories!!! Odemwingie to arsenal would be a good one. West ham? Never. Lazy pathetic journalism.

I very much doubt it's true, but playing Championship football didn't stop the likes of Kevin Nolan moving there.

I would let him go if we could get at least 4 million. Just not working for Pete this year. If if he does go i wont be losing much sleep every player that has left club for big money has gone  downhill

Curtis Davies, Robbo, Kuczack and so on .  I trust JP :P

I would give Pete till the end of the season, and then I would make a descion whether to sell or not.

Why? So that we can bank a few more million and leave our squad short of our most prolific striker in years?

The decision on when he leaves will be Petes.
Hes the wrong side of 30, not set the world alight this season and on reportedly £45k a week on a 3 year deal.
Now who's going to come in for him and give him a deal like that.
Like it or not we could be stuck with Pete.

Selling Pete is incoceivable. Why people say that they would be happy for him to go for x million I don't know. Who will we get to replace him? Or are you just happy to have money in the bank? Our squad is short on genuine premier league striking talent. They did well yesterday but could you imagine MAF and Cox getting enough goals to keep us up? With Pete sold and Long sitting out the season with a broken leg this is exactly what would happen. Sell Pete... you're 'avin' a laugh!

He's just having a Torres moment. Check out last seasons review dvd to remember how good he was for us. The major reason for us staying up!
