If losing 3-1 makes us clowns, what does that make Arsenal, Everton, Manchester United, Spurs, etc.?

Some Man City wins at Etihad this season:

6-3 v Arsenal
3-1 v Everton
5-0 v Fulham
2-1 v Liverpool
4-1 v Manchester United
4-0 v Newcastle
7-0 v Norwich
4-1 v Southampton
3-0 v Swansea
6-0 v Spurs

Nice one Quakes. Take note Pepe bashers

Like Pepe would let Downing make the subs, whatever happens he would have the final sat. People don't really believe all those theories do they  ??? I just thought it was people taking the p*** saying stuff like that.

I think there are some massively OTT reactions to this result, as there are when we win in the other direction.

We haven't been terrible tonight, granted we haven't been great but we've seen some fight at Norwich and it better come back against West Ham. Hart has been called upon a few times and we've done more than just make up the numbers here

Hehe your like the polar opposite to Jack Russell which is good because the board needs a good balance!
So well ballanced 'because he's got a chip on each shoulder?  ;)

Boys have done good to not concede in this half

At least Dzeko can't get his goal now......

Very lack lustre tonight as the team look to be just going through the motions rather than fighting for their lives.

How poor are the Citeh crowd?

Well done keeping the score down to 2.Not too damaging on the goal difference difference. Pepe is still our Man Foster ;)

Very disappointed - not particularly by the result but by the lack of ambition. Ridiculous substitutions and absolutely no passion.

As I've thought all along it makes the West Ham game now crucial.

The one bright spot for me was Dorrans - excellent goal.
Remember the past - learn from it

Total non-event from us, only Dorrans excellent goal giving us anything positive from the evening.
Why did we give Citeh such an easy and routine game, did we not see what Sunderland put into their last two games?...

Need to sort out something from somewhere for West Ham although it has a draw written all over it.

No Shame in losing to Man City......but for me some of them should be ashamed for showing absolutely no passion at all....! For a team fighting relegation too many of them just seemed to be going through the motions...not acceptable..!

Pullis made 5 signings in January and was allowed to put his stamp on the Palace team.

Mel was afforded just the one, a questionable loan signing.

And yet some fans are calling for Mel to be sacked.  :o

Any new manager has to be given the tools if he is going to succeed.

It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

1 / 10 performance from Brunt.  I saw others at least have a go.  He evaded responsibility tonight knowing he was completely out of his depth.

Regarding the result - we expected to lose and that's what happened.  A 2 goal margin fine.  If we don't beat West Ham we are in major, major trouble.

I thought we put in a decent performance, yes we lost, but we created some good chances, scored a very good goal, a defended well second half, if we play like that for the rest of the season, we will be safe.

That was absolutely shocking, City can't have had a bigger stroll all season. Two goals in nine minutes then a second half of just keeping the ball whilst being put under no pressure at all.

We are about as solid as a floppy dick, so disorganised it's unreal. Ridgewell is shocking as is Vydra, Dawson isn't up to this level to name but three. Brunt was poor, Amalfitano strolled round most of the second half.

Pepe Mel is showing no signs of putting any sort of stamp on this team, he is not the right man for this job. to play the way he wants to play we'd have to invest the sort of money in the team we just don't have. We need a man that can organise the team and play to a system.

Mentions for Olsson, Foster, Dorrans and Anichebe all of who'm at least had a go tonight.

We just went there to accept defeat. We have them too much respect, we gifted them 2
Of their goals. Lack of fight and passion by some players. Amalfitano strolls about- he's going back to France it don't matter to him if we stay or go.  The subs came on and made no impact and if anything took the game further away from us.

Should of started anichibe because the ball bouced of Vydra all game.
Sessi looks good on the ball then Mel takes
Him off for Berahino who was at best anonymous. Morrison didnt touch the ball did he?

Don't think we are in any position to just accept that we
Are going to lose. We have 4 games left and we need to win 1 maybe 2!

And ridgewell walking off with 5 minutes left! What was that? At least stay up front and force someone to mark you!!!!!

Do or die at home sat.
O Albion we love you

Shame about David Silva. Classy little player they would have needed if they are going to catch the Scousers.
