in many ways Villa's fate is held partly in WBA's hands. Beat them, lose to Bolton and they could very be in the dogfight on the final day of the season!

At the end of the day villa can lose them all and still stay up. Best placed of all of them in terms of points, gd and games to play.

Bolton or Blackburn still have to win 2 games also.

Very good.

I've suddenly come alive to the fact that it could actually happen if we manage to beat them on Saturday. It's a must that we beat them now. Alex McLeish: You're doing an absolutely fantastic job and long may it continue.

Cast your mind back 12 months Birmingham City needed to win 1 or maybe only to draw one of their last 3 fixtures to avoid the drop and we all know what happened next.

Agent McLeish has done it once he can do it again..

Theres always one team that gets sucked into it seemingly from a safe position, this year it could actually be them. I don't think I'll sleep between now and Saturday, cannot wait.

Fans are not happy, from Villa talk;

Remember in the past when we've beaten Small Heath towards the end of the season and it has hammered a huge nail into their coffin? Well... West Brom will be doing that to us this weekend!

I knew we would pay for all of those missed chances in the first half. I honestly can't believe that we are in this situation. It was obvious that we would struggle with this clown in charge but I didn't think it would be as bad as this. I was expecting us to finish around 12th - 14th and be on around 42-45 points at this point. The one time when a draw would have actually been ok we couldn't even f****** manage that!

I honestly can't handle it anymore. I smashed my phone to pieces after Bolton scored their 2nd goal (I obviously regret doing that now). The amount of anger that I've been feeling, especially lately, is unhealthy. I've tried to not care as much but it's impossible.

IMO we will NOT pick up any points in our remaining games, therefore we are relying on other teams to do us HUGE favours! This of course is never a good thing and we are going down with the dingles. I've already convinced myself that we are down and knowing our clueless American owner he still probably won't sack McLeish!

I believe that this is our worst home record EVER! That says it all.

I have been an Albion fan for a long time and I can't recall many occasions when we have had the opportunity to hammer a nail in somebodies coffin, its usually been ours. Now we have a great chance to give it to the villa, Oh what joy

Just looked at the fixtures above. Qpr for me have a horrid run in. So I would say on paper they're gone.

That leaves one spot which personally I think will be blackburn but could realistically be any of them however I do think villa have done just enough on paper.

Football is a funny game though and it's not played on paper ;)

Were in serious pooh, were totally inept and agent McLeish has hit new lows. Heskey provided the best flair moment of the game last night, says all you need to know.
Your in form and on a high, not confident, Spurs, well, we never beat 'Arry and Norwich is a graveyard
Don't give a pooh what division were in next season
