Have a look at the goal he scored for Hartlepool on Saturday. Now on the official site.
Nobody in our current squad could better that.

I realise this may not go down well, bt in all honesty one of the best midfielders I’ve seen in recent years was Moutinho at the Wolves.

Instinctively brilliant - hardly wasted a pass, anticipated situations, kept the team ticking. A really superb Rolls Royce player
.

It’s obviously a long stretch yet for Price to be in the same category, but it’s that kind of instinctive ability that really hits me. It’ll be fascinating to see where he ends up in the team as he develops, but he has all those inborn traits in his locker that screams “natural talent.”

He could turn into a real star - he just has those natural attributes. It’s simply talent.
Thank you very much for sharing that with us

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Tom Fellows
« on: March 03, 2025, 10:16:28 AM »
He's a young winger and like many young wingers he lacks consistency. At the same time Tony Mowbray is Tom's fourth permanent manager since making his first league start.

Each of those managers have different styles and ask different things of their players. We as a club are also going through a period of transition both on and off the pitch in terms of recruitment, tactics and personnel.

Personally speaking I'd have been absolutely amazed if those circumstances hadn't had an adverse effect on a young winger's form when they've clearly had a huge impact on the form of more established players.

Tom Fellows comes across as a well grounded lad keen to improve his game and I'm confident he'll return to form soon. Here's hoping we put systems in place to get the best out of him because while he needs to improve his shooting he's unlikely to get on the end of his own crosses.

Great post mate. Frankly I am very disappointed with so many on here dismissing Tom and only interested in speculating for how much and how quickly we can dispense with his services.

Wrong time of the season to be chopping and changing keepers for me. Both keepers capable of making costly mistakes, and that is why we should not have sold Palmer, let alone given him away.
If we show lack of faith by dropping Wildsmith, what happens if Griffiths comes in and is no more reliable ?

                 Wildmsith
 Furlong Bartley Heggem Styles
        Molumby Diakite Price
     Fellows Lankshear Johnston

Leeds have amassed 44 points out of 51 available at home. By far the best home form in the league. That will be the size of the task. It seems unfair to drop Mowatt as he was our motm today, but I think we might need Diakite's bite in midfield. I'd go with Lankshear up top to help get us up the pitch.

I'd happily take a point right now. The only positive I see is they have a massive game Monday night so we have a couple of extra days rest and preparation time.

It would be indeed. Alex will be up for it going back to his first club

Taken quite a bit of stick on here lately , but as per usual on here no acknowledgement when a player proves you wrong. Excellent performance today along with Styles, Molumby, and Price.

Unfortunately there is no time for a rest.

Who would play instead?
I know mate, but Mowbray made no allowance in his criticism of the defence , so I made one for him  ;)

Styles often overlaps which as he is left footed is a good way of getting to the by-line and crossing.  Unfortunately unless Lankshear plays we don't have anyone to get on the end of it.

Millwall's back are large and uncompromising.  I can't see us getting a lot out of this.  Best hope is Swift having long-range punts and hoping for a deflection.
Scraping the barrel a bit there mate, but you never know. Personally I would prefer Swift staying cosy on the bench.

I'm not a huge Ajayi fan but at least he has more size and presence than Holgate.

I feel sorry for Heggem at the moment it seems like he's one man trying to stop the tide at times, everything around him is poor.
Top man Heggem. Bearing in mind he has already played a full season, being half way through his home season then straight into ours with no break.
The guy looks exhausted to me and still puts more effort in than the majority of our squad.
Player of the season for me.

Scored tonight against Tamworth, although unfortunately for Hartlepool they have gone 2-1 down just before HT.
Made a 2-2 draw with Reyes getting the assist in the equalizer.

From their forum

6. Reyes Cleary: 8
Excellent again. Took his goal superbly, driving at Matt Curley, cutting onto his right foot and bending a sumptuous finish into the far corner. Should have had another when he blasted over from a promising position but hard not to admire his determination to get forward, take on his full-back and make things happen. Generally defended well and tracked back all evening, cutting out a couple of cross-field passes and producing a handful of important interventions. Switched off somewhat for Tamworth's second goal, although his one lapse can largely be forgiven following another impressive night. Admitted he is keen to extend his stay at the Prestige Group Stadium beyond this month and all Pools fans will be hoping he remains in the North East a while longer. Blessed with pace, power and the ability to go both ways, he is proving a nightmare for National League full-backs.

Looked decent did'nt he , and yet I was amazed when briefly watching the Villa v Spurs match, when the commentator said that the Spurs injury situation was so bad they did'nt have a striker on the bench.

So what were your thoughts when the Wednesday players were celebrating their very late equaliser towards our supporters in the east stand when they clearly thought they'd pulled a point out of the hat?

Their celebration of a stoppage time equaliser didn't bother me so much as the goal itself and made celebrating what  turned out to be the actual winner all the sweeter. Pretty much instant karma.

Precisely mate, we in the East , do not like being interrupted when we are in the process of leaving.  ;)
God bless you Jason

Other than celebrate in peoples faces, what did he actually do wrong?

He's not a child but he is human and had just scored the winner at a crucial time.
I wish a few more of our players had as much passion as Molumby

I would love to know, how they got to decision of disallowing the goal. How the ref made the linesman in the end flag?
Simples..... Referee "I thought that looked offside - is it possible you made a mistake there" Lino
"yes I think I may have done actually".
That is why the ref took the unusual decision to walk over to the linesman so that we could see the interaction.
Something that you very rarely see these days , as the officials are communicating directly

Whatever he does, we need to support him and not pressure him if he makes a mistake. It's a big step up for him , and he needs to grow in confidence with a defence,  which lets face it ,Palmer has had to bully at times.
I still cannot reconcile the sale of Palmer for £2M and I know why the owners sanctioned it, but remember if it goes wrong IT AY JOSH's FAULT

I think Mowatt will be in the starting line-up as he knows how to get in position to take passes from the back line when it is under the press.  He also generally finds a pass to a team mate - I concede that this is a "safe" pass >60% of the time but when you're deep in defence you do not want to lose the ball when surrounded by the press.

It's the way the team were taught to play; he might make more risky passes under TM - hopefully long distance.  Diakite' in that position would be nerve-racking; many times I cannot tell to what extent he's in control of the ball - Price is a safer partner for Mowatt.

For me, the real unknown is how long will TM persist with Swift and Wallace.
If he does continue with those two then I think most supporters will disapprove and show it. Same goes for the "wonderful, wonderful, Diangana"

It’s easier with someone else’s money though ?
He will play well for Ipswich, who will be relegated and then someone will pay £15M for him in the Summer
