But you can't expect him to have come specifically because it's West Bromwich, or part of Sandwell borough. He's from Birmingham, and his mates' who he refers to in the stands, are probably also from Birmingham. He will just see the club as part of the wider area where he feels some affiliation.

We pay £120,000/week for him according to this article.
Suddenly we are not restricted by FFP?

Total cost of £4.5 to £5 for the rest of the season, not cheap but a reasonable gamble to help with our survival.

Nobody knows how close we were to the limit. Could have been the club bluffing for a number of reasons. One thing for certain is that we are paying his wages, every creditable source has said so and people were saying before his move whatever club wanted him would have too. The club may have pushed themselves to the wage limit for 6 months so when it finishes they have scope to go £8m beyond what they have spent, with the added bonus of having £200k+ less on the books from just two loanees.

I think it's £3.8m, which is his weekly wage (£1.8m + £2m fee) At least thats what i think John Percy said yesterday.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

Just a rough approximation from the figures mentioned.

Apologies if this has been asked previously
Does anyone know how long DS has left on Scouse contract? I ask because if contract is in last 2 years it could significantly impact upon his valuation at the end of the season

by all accounts he signed a 5-year deal in October of 2014 which would mean his contract is in its last 2 years

Hey guys, not sure where to post this but listening to talk sports Jim white and his crew this morning posing the question why Sturridge turned down Newcastle and turning down the iconic number 9 shirt.
Tell me who in Newcastle history after shearers number 9 were better than Astle or Cyrille?
I'm sick of the toon fans they're fickle moaners big club etc, what have you won? 52 thousand week in week out blah blah blah.
They will never be bigger than the baggies, sick of them

This wound me up today big time , especially as we were laying Cyrille to rest....
TALKCOCKNEY just try to get a response to generate revenue earning phone calls and texts...
so they can pay that complete knobber Jim White his over inflated wages !

Lighten up, it was said in jest (I thought the winking smiling would have made that obvious but apparently not).
