Forest season ticket prices increased by 22-28%, I have a feeling ours will go up this year regardless of what division we are in, but not by that much in one go I hope!!  :o

I think on another, earlier part of the season day, with no play -offs imminent we would have put 6 past Rotherham without breaking sweat.
And still got the 3 points that we got last night.....

Come on. Everyone knows the buid up to a goal has no bearing whatsoever on the quality of chance. It's all about the assist and the goal. Nothing else.
Thats true, Asante got an assist for shooting the ball at the defenders barnet from 20 yards for our 100% nailed on penalty last night  :D

Yes, Leeds, Southampton, Ipswich and even Leicester fans will have all done the same by now as they are 'guaranteed' the play offs. Many Albion fans too, which doesnt then leave a lot of rooms at a cheaper rate

Away from the obvious, it is fantastic news for the members of staff who earn pittance in comparison to players, hopefully they now have clarity and keep their jobs. Players could have moved on and earned more, these people were genuinely facing redundancies, etc through no fault of their own, massive news and relief all round within the club im guessing. Hopefully the feel good factor is felt throughout :)

I was just chatting with a bloke at work who is a church goer, and he asked me how it came about that we took TLMS as our anthem?

I couldn't answer and the only thing I could find online was one suggestion from 8 years ago that stated it was a cup game in the 70's against Everton when a load of drunks sang it because the match was being played on a Sunday, and then it reappeared regularly again from the 90's?

Is this right?

Shame we couldn't find suitor for Reach and Chalobah this window. Imagine having 45k p/w spare. Makes a real difference in this league if used well.
Reach is out for 4-6 weeks isn't he? If so no chance of moving him on until the summer  :(

He was good, but if is he such a world beater why is our away record abysmal and he has often gone missing.

His wages are massive and we can no longer afford.

Try wobbling your head when we miss out on the po and have no new owner and yo £29k rumoured wages for another season.

If he is so great why didn't anybody buy him in the prem when we were relegated and why did a championship club get him when he was freed and available to any club in the world.

We paid him the most that's why.

I never said he didn't have great games, but not often enough to justify what we can now afford.
Him on 29k a week, or Reach 23k, Chalobah 24k, and Diangana 25k. I would let all 3 of them go in a heart beat before Yokuslu

The stewards are not fit for purpose for a game of this magnitude and thats not a criticism of them, the majority are there thinking all they will have to do to pick up their £25 or whatever is direct someone to their seat. There will be the experienced ones who know how to deal with the situations and can spot something likely to kick off and deal with it but most are there for the money and a easy couple of hours.

There should have been a better Police prescence in the ground in all areas.
I'm guessing the less experienced ones would have been exactly where it kicked off to begin with, as during a risk assessment that would surely be deemed a safe area as predominantly players family and friends sit there!

Interesting: that's not how it's being reported.
I'm reporting what I saw with my own eyes, not condoning it in any way, shape or form but also not buying the exaggerated version that the media are portraying it to be!

Only  couple of scuffles?  Bottles flying everywhere , reports of a pitch invasion and so-called Baggies supporters fighting the police.  No matter who started it, two things  were clear:

a) there was overreaction from our so-called supporters
b) Hawthorns stewards were slow to react so it's on us.

I am very depressed.  It's easy to make an example of an EFL side to warn the EPL teams.  We need to lawyer up.

Oh and welcome to the Black Country Callum Marshall
The TWO scuffles in question, 1 Millenium corner, one Halfords corner - both over within a couple of minutes!

Bottles flying everywhere? I saw one aimed at a player which was bang out of order (as was them throwing a flair into the MC when they scored the first! goal)

Pitch invasion (if you can call it that) was a woman trying to nutmeg a steward and a man holding his scarf up at the dingles (2 people out of 27,000?)

Not excusing anything, just saying IMO it was exaggerated and ive seen worse up the Hawthorns that has not had the media coverage this has

I don't think potential buyers will be put off by a couple of scuffles, 5 arrests were made in the ground and no doubt more will follow, an internal investigation will have to happen to ensure ticket holders are fully accountable and we move on. Not the first and wont be the last, Millwall at the back of the Smethwick was worse than this, its just been exaggerated in the media due to it being on national TV.

No one has probably posted the OY to Turkey rumours that always seem to do the rounds but are always rubbish.

But, I wouldn't be averse to letting him go if  we can get a fee and lose his wages and suitable replacement can be brought in on loan.

He was brilliant for us in the Premier league and I hope Jesus second coming is better than OY, because that old OY should dominating this league.
?? Hes been up there with Kipre as one of our best players this season IMO  ???

Bournemouth's first half demolition of Swansea tonight highlighted the massive gulf between the 2 divisions.I have to admit to fearing the worst for us on Sunday, and I'm by no means a massive pessimist.
Bristol City beat West Ham, after drawing at their place, Forest and Luton scraped through against league 1 teams after replays, even Bournemouth were 2-0 down at one point against QPR in the last round. The gulf is big, but if our attitude and approach to the game is on point, and the fans stick with us even if we go 1-0 down then with our home record we have a big chance! Keep the faith!

« on: January 25, 2024, 08:56:24 AM »
Now that the rush for tickets for the wolves game has ended I really do think the way the club organised how the tickets should be sold was and is a farce. For a start smethwick end season ticket holders should had been first to buy unoccupied seats in the stand, than season ticket holders and then members. Lastly any remaining tickets should have been on the points system for fans that do actually go for some games. (Which is now me) before the pile on starts about part timers etc I was actually a season ticket holder for over 20 years starting with Saunders but circumstances mean I now cannot attend every game, but when I can I go. I was a member when it was a fiver but when they increased this to £20 there really isn’t much benefit when you pay full whack for your ticket. My argument isn’t about not getting a ticket but the fact that I cannot even try and buy one (this also includes the blues game) when I am on the system and been to most home and some away games ( every time we have also won  ;D) the club are happy for me to buy a ticket for a Rotherham or a swansea but will not allow me to try and buy a ticket for a wolves or blues.  It’s even more galling when a number of people who haven’t been to 1 game this season are going Sunday. I am annoyed and since the club have effectively barred me will not be buying any more tickets this season when I am free I go to Halesowen town. Nor will I be using my cash in the club shop. I know a few people like me that are feeling like this.
I understand your frustration but going forward, if you go to most home games and pay full whack then you would be cheaper buying a season ticket anyway as it works out around 15-16 a game for adults and it gives you the guarantee of a seat for cup matches, or even buy a kids one for £23 and upgrade the tickets to an adult when you go to the matches.
