He is truly awful.

This side will prosper because of the sum of the parts rather than the parts themselves which on the while are inadequate.

Unfortunately Hugill was exactly the sort of player I expected ud to sign.

Competitive budget my effin backside.

All about his confidence. His movement is excellent. His all round play can be poor sometimes but we forget he is only 24 and he still has a lot to improve on.

Great goal.

Shut their lot up early on.

For a striker that's two great games.

What is a fan supposed to do?
If his her team are not playing well no effort etc etc
We cheer them on and on
But if the team  continues to not play well etc a supporter is allowed to criticise surely?
How does one criticise?
It's a bit weird to not criticise to just keep on cheering them on to lose?
Ah well how sad never mind we start again on Tuesday, doing the same thing all over again then suddenly we're In division 3
Boo if you want it doesn't mean you don't love our club just those particular players at that moment in time the trouble is how long do you wait before you boo?

That almost reads like a poem ^^^  ;D

Two goals.

Won us the game.  I've heard rubbish about how poor he was most of the game etc etc. Tell you what if he's rubbish and scores goals then I'd take that.

Also when he scored the second you could see how much it meant to the other players. Robinson in particular.  For me the jury is still out but we'll done to him and let's hope this gives him belief and confidence to push forward for the benefit of himself and the club.

Very pleased for him.

How long do we have to wait?

Not good enough.

What penny pinching terms were they Nick?

Not sure a transfer fee of circa £15 million is exactly penny pinching.

Check out the repayment term.

Siz years?

I think seeing him in fish nets and a pencil skirt would give you a different perspective actually !

Probably.

Any port in a storm and all that!   ;D

we should have kept HRK

These sort of comments are a very sad idictment of our Summer transfer dealings. And sadly I very much agree.

Whichever way you dress Hugill up he's an average Championship lump.

The signing of this player highlights our complete lack of financial clout to compete at the highest level. We've got him on such a stupid contract.

A dreadful and a lazy and nasty signing.

That was truly awful today.

I love Val's enthusiasm and I want him to succeed,  badly, but if we start losing playing that sort of football then his days will be numbered.

The lack of investment is glaring in that once we have injuries to key players what are left to step in are woefully inadequate.

Need a good reaction on Tueaday and some football played on the deck.

Think we have left ourselves a bit light. I don’t see Reach as a left wing back so I don’t see that we have adequate cover for either Furlong or Townsend, and I would have liked to see us improve on Townsend full stop, and we are still a central midfielder short as I cannot see us looking to rely much on Castro as a young lad. Livermore and Mowett will pick up regular suspensions and all it takes is a couple of serious injuries and I can see us having a bad patch

Considering we have recently been relegated from the Prem and sold a player for a decent wedge and also moved a load off the wage bill I think it's been a dreadful window.

We have a decent manager who is getting the best out of this squad. Let's hope that continues and, more importantly,  we get lucky with injuries. Otherwise we could struggle.

Still think we'll comfortably be top six but we could have cemented a automatic position with a few more decent acquisitions.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Jordan Hugill joins on loan

If the agreed to pay Hugill 40k per week when they signed him in the EFL then that's their own stupidity!

Edit - in reposonse to the 5m fee claim there was an Athletic article on his move from WHU to Norwich and they say it was £2.6m guaranteed and some add-ons which he wont have hit personally but WHU probably would have got some money for Norwich going up.

So, to summarise, he's not very good but he's going to get lots  of money.

He is useless.......he offers nothing.

No threat at all. Needs to be moved on

And therein lies the problem.

If he's as useless as we all know he is then why on earth would anyone else take him on? We need a Wilderesque  brain fart like when he took Burke.

An appalling and expensive signing .

Free or cheap as chips get it done, costs money? lets have a mess about.
This.

It's a typical Albion signing.  A daft loan which we all know isn't really good enough and certainly not good enough if we get promoted.

No one else would touch him with a bargepole.

I'll  have a tenner with anyone on here that he'll flop.
